An Unforgettable Mykonos Experience with Alex
Our time in Mykonos with Alex was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we met him, Alex was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely passionate about sharing his beautiful hometown with us. Mykonos is breathtakingly beautiful, but Alex made our experience even more special. His knowledge of the island, its history, culture, and local life brought everything we saw to life. He was attentive to every detail and made sure we felt comfortable and enjoyed every moment of our morning together. We only wish we could have stayed longer! After returning to our cruise ship, we heard that the previous Princess cruise had been unable to dock because of the windy weather. We felt incredibly fortunate and blessed that we had the opportunity to visit Mykonos—and especially to experience it with Alex. Thank you, Alex, for your wonderful hospitality, excellent service, and for making our visit so memorable.!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review Weijia! It was a real pleasure meeting you and showing you some of the special places that make Mykonos so unique. I truly enjoyed sharing a little of the island’s local life with you. I hope you’ll come back one day for a longer stay and even more exploring! Wishing you safe travels and hoping to welcome you back to Mykonos soon!

This is the tour for you!
I wanted to share with you our wonderful experience with Alex as our tour guide when we visited Mykonos back in May 2026. Alex was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic 1/2 day tour around the island and he suggested that we finish it off with the sunset experience at the light house. We learned much about the wonderful island from Alex. Alex is very friendly, speaks excellent English and gave us advice as to activities for us to do outside of the tour. I can't say enough about Alex and would give him a higher rating than 5 stars. If you are looking for a professional tour guide who knows Mykonos like the back of his hand, look no further. Alex is the guy for you! He will show you his love for his wonderful island and country!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful words! Reading reviews like yours is the best reward I could ask for. It was a real pleasure spending the day with you and sharing the island through my eyes. I'm so happy you enjoyed the tour, the sunset at the lighthouse, and all the stories about Mykonos. Thank you for trusting me with your day and for recommending me to other travelers. I truly hope to welcome you back to Mykonos one day!

Absolutely great experience!
We absolutely loved our tour with Alex! He messaged me the day before to confirm the start time and the morning of, confirmed again with a pic of where he was at the port exit. It was very easy to find him. He gave us several options for our tour and customized as we went based on our needs (including traveling with an 8 year old!). He gave us the perfect amount of detailed information about the area and was helpful pointing out places of interest. Whenever we wanted to stop and take a picture or take a break, he was very amenable. He even took pictures of our family for us. I would definitely use his services again! Thank you for a great day, Alex!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! It was a true pleasure meeting you and your family. I am so glad I could help make your day in Mykonos easy, fun, and perfectly customized for everyone. Helping capture those family photos was my absolute pleasure. If you ever find yourselves back here, I would love to show you around again. Thank you for choosing our tour!

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mykonos tour: Private highlights Tour with a Local: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mykonos.
How much does Mykonos tour: Private highlights Tour with a Local cost?
+
Prices start at $118 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mykonos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mykonos tour: Private highlights Tour with a Local take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mykonos is not rushed.
Is Mykonos tour: Private highlights Tour with a Local worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 59 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mykonos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mykonos tour: Private highlights Tour with a Local?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mykonos tour: Private highlights Tour with a Local suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mykonos tour: Private highlights Tour with a Local?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mykonos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mykonos and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mykonos tour: Private highlights Tour with a Local start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mykonos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mykonos?
+
On Outty we rank every Mykonos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tour and Wine Tasting in Mykonian Land, Catamaran Day & Sunset Cruises with meals Drinks and transportation, Local Tour with Cruise/Hotel Pick-Up(Small Group or Private). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mykonos?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mykonos?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
