Winter getaway 2026
Booked with GetYourGuide and was very impressed. The cost was very reasonable; we were picked up at our Hotel in Da Nang at 06::30 in a private car an taken to Hoi An where we got on the bus to My Son. The guide spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable. The tour includes a stop at a house where rice paper is made, and you get to taste the produce, you then travel to My Son Sanctuary. After you depart the sanctuary at around 11am you travel back to Hoi An for a boat ride on the river to a restaurant for lunch. all very nice and you are back in your hotel in Da Nang about 3pm. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and will have no hesitation in booking with GetYourGuide in the future.

We booked 2 tours one for My Son & one full day tour including Ba Na hills & golden bridge, monkey mountain & marble mountain. These tours were great, 5 stars. Our guide & driver was same for both tours & they were both excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable & really nice. Took several photos for us. I highly recommend these well organised tours & tour company.

Excellent early tour to My Son
It is worth getting up early to see My Son at sunrise. First, it isn’t as hot as it will be later in the day and second, there are hardly any other people there. I did notice another tour group that arrived about the same time we did. They took their clients to the main temple and left. Our guide took us around the entire site. He answered all our questions and showed us other interesting things on the way back to Da Nang. Highly recommend this tour company.

My Son Sunrise tour
As a solo traveler, I was slightly hesitant about booking a private tour, but Andy made the whole process straightforward from the start. The 5:15am pickup was perfectly on time, and the early start really does make a difference — seeing My Son at sunrise was a genuinely memorable experience. Arriving that early meant we avoided the crowds and the heat, which made it a much more relaxed visit. Andy’s knowledge of the Champa civilisation and My Son was impressive. He explained the history and significance of the temples clearly, and also spoke about the damage caused during the Vietnam War, which added important context. He also suggested visiting the Museum of Cham Sculpture in Da Nang — I went the day after this tour, and it definitely helped me appreciate the site more fully. What I appreciated most was that the tour felt natural and well-paced rather than rehearsed. Andy explained things clearly and was happy to answer questions, which made it easy to follow and engage with the history. He also offered to take a few photos for me, which was helpful as a solo traveler. I plan to return to Hoi An again and will definitely be contacting Andy to arrange future tours of this area. If you’re in Hoi An and planning to visit My Son, I’d recommend the sunrise option without hesitation.
