What you'll see and do

  1. My Son Sanctuary

My Son Sanctuary dates from the 4th to the 13th centuries CE. The property is located in the mountainous border Duy Xuyen District of Quang Nam Province, in central Viet Nam. It is situated within an elevated geological basin surrounded by a ring of mountains, which provides the watershed for the sacred Thu Bon river. The source of the Thu Bon river is here and it flows past the monuments, out of the basin, and through the historic heartland of the Champa Kingdom, draining into the South China Sea at its mouth near the ancient port city of Hoi An. The location gives the sites its strategic significance as it is also easily defensible.

Best thing that happened in my life

As the title suggests, it was and is one of the best experiences that I have undergone in my life. Ha was witty, funny and most importantly passionate about this community, family and country. We loved every bit of this tour and we sincerely hope everyone will give it a try as it was incredibly eye opening and inspiring to see through the lens of the beautiful and quaint life that Vietnam, Hoi An has to offer. Thank you Ha for representing your country and community so well, we love Vietnam even more because of you!

Brilliant private tours

We booked 2 amazing tours with Ha and had great commutation prior to our arrival in Hoi An. Our first trip was to My Son temples, our guide James was informative but didn’t overload us with too much information and the tour was just the right amount of time. Our second trip was a combined tour to both Marble Mountain and Monkey Mountain. Bee our guide was great and we shared the same interests in Buddhism. It was brilliant having private tours as you get to go at your own pace rather than what a massive group wants to do.

My Son Sunrise is just so beautiful

We had amazing early morning time at My Son sanctuary, you better go with them at dawn to enjoy the most of the site, there was no body at all. Informative guide Ha with impressive English skills and many fun facts about people's lifestyle and traditions. Definitely book with them again.

My Son Sanctuary Sunrise Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.

How much does My Son Sanctuary Sunrise Private Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does My Son Sanctuary Sunrise Private Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.

Is My Son Sanctuary Sunrise Private Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule My Son Sanctuary Sunrise Private Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is My Son Sanctuary Sunrise Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book My Son Sanctuary Sunrise Private Tour?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does My Son Sanctuary Sunrise Private Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

+

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
