Explore the temples that were built and rebuilt from 4th century to 13rd century . Try to find down how did the cham people built the temple without using mortar Nestling in a narrow valley surrounded by mountains, this temple and tower complex is a masterpiece of ancient Cham architecture. My Son consisted of 70 architectural works ranging from small to large buildings. My Son was the holy land of Cham people from the 4th to 13th century, dedicated mostly to the deities Shiva, Krishma and Vishnu. Today only about 20 temples remain due to destruction of the site during the war. In the 4th century, in King Bhadravarman’s time, after the construction of TraKieu, the religious centre of Cham kingdom was centred in My Son, and the site was used to welcome royal members, aristocrats and host important religious rituals. Continually developing over nearly nine centuries, My Son witnessed both the glorious and prosperous period of the Champa Kingdom as well as the Kingdom’s decline. Despite the fall of the Champa Kingdom, the Cham culture continues to survive.

    Great tour guide

Andy is a great guide so full knowledge of Vietnamese culture past, present and future. He was a great guide at My Son explaining so much of the ongoing works. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a informative tour.

Sunrise Tour - excellent option to avoid crowds and save time

We booked a Sunrise private tour to My Son with Andy Tran Tours to avoid crowds and have the rest of the day to explore Hoi Ann and the seaside. We returned from My Son just in time for breakfast at our hotel. Our guide was Mr. Ken, who speaks excellent English and is very knowledgable. He explained to us the history of My Son and Vietnam in general. Transport, punctuality, guide, everything was excellent. One remark, because it was January, we were in the ruins even before the sunrise, so the light for photos was not the best. But we could have these mysterious ruins only for ourselves.

    Exceptional in every way.

What an amazing place! We were extremely lucky with the weather! Our guide Mr Le was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. We had a very unhappy teenager with us who had just broken her toe the previous day and so was not particularly happy about walking. Mr Le was very understanding and an exceptional tour guide, even knowing multiple languages and explained in depth the history of My Son and surrounding areas. Even the drive up there he was full of facts. . He worked a miracle with my daughter and convinced her to be in some photos with us. Lol. He took so many photos of us that my husbands phone overheated haha! And managed to get barely any other tourists in the photos which was a feat because it was full of school kids that day who were learning English. We went on a Sunday and the kids were so eager to talk to us to try their English skills with us. It just added to our experience. A very smooth process and very informative. Thanks so much Mr Le and Thankyou to Andy for excellent communication and hospitality.

MY SON HOLYLAND Private Tour- Sunrise or Early Morning: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.

How much does MY SON HOLYLAND Private Tour- Sunrise or Early Morning cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does MY SON HOLYLAND Private Tour- Sunrise or Early Morning take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.

Is MY SON HOLYLAND Private Tour- Sunrise or Early Morning worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule MY SON HOLYLAND Private Tour- Sunrise or Early Morning?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is MY SON HOLYLAND Private Tour- Sunrise or Early Morning suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book MY SON HOLYLAND Private Tour- Sunrise or Early Morning?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does MY SON HOLYLAND Private Tour- Sunrise or Early Morning start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
