My Son Sanctuary
After being picked up at hotel around 5:00am, you will be driven to the World Heritage ‘My Son Sanctuary’ for 1 hour drive then having coffee drink (might be take- away). Your guide will show you the remains of the remarkable towers constructed by the Cham builders, many centuries ago. This sanctuary is a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples built between the 4th and the 14th century AD by the kings of Champa. The temples are dedicated to the worship of the god Shiva, known under various local names, the most important of which is "Bhadresvara". In 1937, French scholars began to restore the temples at Mỹ Sơn. In 1937 and 1938, the main temple and the smaller temples surrounding it were restored. However, many historical buildings were destroyed during the Vietnam War and this temple was damaged by the attacks. It takes around 2 hours for visiting the sites around then back to the hotel roughly 9-9.30am. Then you can have breakfast at hotel.

Fantastic private tour with Win!
My husband and I had a wonderful private tour with Win! He was so knowledgeable about the entire area and we learned so much history! And he also taught us how to say some phrases in Vietnamese. He is joyful and cheerful, and made our day GREAT! Highly recommend!!!

Great to book if you want...
Great to book if you want to beat the crowds. Early morning start allowed us to get to the venue early and take a leisurely look around. Nguyen, our guide, was very forthcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. An interesting tour if you like history of religions and empires. This tour was the highlight of our trip over and above going to Ba Na Hills and Hue city mainly because of the cooler weather in the morning and the lack of crowds.

Top notch Tour Guide
Huy our guide was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable an very informative. He took us to many places and My Son Sanctuary was just one on the many tours that he took us on. He was very proactive with asking if we wanted pictures taken . His English was on point ad communication was never an issue. Having an English speaking guide proved to be invaluable in many fronts. Sunrise and less crowds!
Huy was amazing and incredibly knowledgeable! We left our hotel at 5:30am to head out to My Son. We stopped at the local fish market and also the rice fields to enjoy the sunrise. It was a great time to visit the My Son site with very few other tourists around. Huy showed us all the sites and explained how the temples were discovered and restored. We were back by around 10am so we could do other things in our day! Definitely worth doing this itinerary when you come to Hoi An!
