Amazing tour guide and a fab experience!
We booked on to this tour after realising that we have a spare day in our schedule. We were picked up in a lovely and comfortable private van to take us to our first stop, Luch. Unlike other tours we have done so far, they took us to a restaurant with really nice food and a great atmosphere. Our tour guide Lili, sat and ate with us whilst recommending and navigating us through the menu, which was a really nice gesture. We got to order as much as we wanted, which allowed us to try lots of different style dishes. Next we were taken to the coach station, two minutes from the restaurant where we boarded a coach for the short ride to the base of the Wall. We chose the Chairlift to get to the top of the wall, and were not disappointed by the fun, the scenery and the sight of the toboggan track, in which we already knew we wanted to go down in. Lili provides us with lots of really useful context and information regarding certain aspects of the wall whilst also helping us to navigate the touts and pushy shop keepers around the sites. Although it is a small section of the wall, we manged to view and get a really good insight into a larger portion. With the steps, it was definitely big enough for us! We would thoroughly recommend the toboggan to go down in. Such a novel ideas do an awesome experience. Moving from the wall towards the hot springs, we were looking forward to relaxing. A really good and intriguing spa experience set within a beautiful resort. Lili came with us and made us feel at ease in every way. Lili was an an amazing tour guide. She made us feel extremely welcomed into the country and made sure the day was centred entirely around us. She also is an extremely keen photographer and not only took some amazing photos of us, but also shared with us some of her photos of the wall from different seasons so we could compare it throughout the year, which was a really nice touch to the tour. Unlike other tours we have done in Beijing, there were no 'shopping' stops, where you can often feel very pressured into buying things. This made the experience so much more enjoyable and much more likely to rebook with WikiBeijing. We wish so much that we had booked the rest of our weeks tour with this company and would have loved to have Lili help us to learn more about her interesting country. Thank you Lili for making our experience one to remember!

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
