MUST DO!!!
Signed up for Algonquin fall trip as a solo female first timer and can’t wait to go back. This review has 2 parts. First, the organization. I was called days ahead of my trip that the fall colours were sadly ending early, and offered full refund, but I still went. In our small group of 6, Javier, the owner, offered a change from our original trip to Muskoka if everyone wanted (As Muskoka had potentially more colours than Algonquin since it’s more elevated). Because we all agreed, the trip changed slightly and SO glad it did!!! The hikes and trip were unreal. We were so happy Javier offered this!! He’s clearly SO educated in the terrain and areas he goes to (see pics for the fall colours we got to see in Muskoka!) Second, safety. As a solo female, it was so safe. The pick up being right downtown, hiking close with a small group at all times, and Javier always checking in/having tools to help. There were other solo girls on our trip too! Cannot recommend this enough and already booked my next trip!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review! I’m really happy you decided to join us, especially as a first-time solo traveller, and that you felt safe and comfortable throughout the day. I also really appreciate you mentioning the communication before the trip. Fall conditions can change quickly, so I always want everyone to know exactly what to expect and, when possible, adjust the day to give the group the best experience. I’m so glad the change worked out and that you loved Muskoka! It was a pleasure having you with us, and the fact that you’ve already booked your next adventure means a lot. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

It was good but not perfect
The day trip to beautiful Muskoka had great potential to be a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. However, a few aspects could have made it much better: • The tour leader seemed to rush through the itinerary instead of allowing more time to appreciate the stunning scenery and atmosphere. • During the rain, the tour leader left participants on their own in an unfamiliar area, rather than staying with the group or ensuring everyone was comfortable and safe. • The leader also sent messages and made calls asking participants to return to the vehicle earlier than the announced time, which disrupted the experience. With better time management and a more considerate approach toward participants, this trip could easily become one of the highlights of Toronto EcoAdventures’ offerings.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. However, this review misrepresents the experience and does not reflect the reality of how the tour was delivered. To be clear: this is a guided hiking tour, as stated in the itinerary, website, booking confirmation, and again reiterated by the guide at the start of the day. It is not promoted as a photography tour. While we absolutely allow time for scenic stops and photos — and our guests often love the photography we help capture — this trip is designed around completing a hike in a timely, safe, and respectful manner for everyone in the group. Unfortunately, this is a hiking trip, if people expect the freedom to stop for extended periods to take photos at every turn this is not the right adventure. That simply isn’t compatible with how our tours operate. We must maintain a balanced pace that respects both the itinerary and the rest of the group, many of whom were properly dressed and ready to hike. Regarding the phone calls: it began to rain heavily, and all other participants were soaked and already back in the van. The only reason we contacted these guests was out of genuine concern for their health and safety, to help them avoid getting cold or sick in the rain. All activities were completed fully and on schedule. No time was taken away from the experience. Toronto EcoAdventures is built on a commitment to safety, professionalism, and small-group respect. Defamatory claims are taken seriously, especially when they undermine the hard work we do to provide consistently high-quality adventures, as reflected in hundreds of 5-star reviews. We encourage future guests to read our full tour descriptions and know that when you join one of our hikes, you’re joining a well-organized, expertly guided adventure — with room for wonder, beauty, and great photos, but always rooted in a hiking experience.

Great day trip to Muskoka
The trip to Muskoka was really well organised and amazing. We were a small group of only 3 people so it was really easy to get in contact with the others. Javier picked us up at the subway station and as soon as we approached our destination he provided us with information about the area and what we will be doing during the day. The hike was an easy one and we had lunch at the lake with a nice view. We had two more stops at a viewpoint to see the lake and a waterfall before we had dinner together. Javier was a really great guide, very communicative and he took good care of us. Thanks for taking all the pictures :-)
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review and for joining our Muskoka adventure! 🌲 It’s always our mission to make everyone feel welcome, safe, and connected—especially with small groups like this one. Muskoka never disappoints, and we’re glad you enjoyed the hikes, viewpoints, waterfalls, and of course, the photos! 📸

Ultimate Muskoka
Fantastic outing yesterday with Javier in Muskoka. Highly recommend this company for anyone wanting a day trip outside the city, without the hassle of driving or planning. We saw some beautiful sites. Javier picked us up on time at the designated spot. He informed us of the schedule for the day. Javier is very concerned about everyone's safety and comfort while on the hike. He is a very relaxed, friendly and knowledgeable guide. I enjoyed my day immensely and will definitely be going on another hike in the future. Thanks Javier!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing review! 😊 I’m thrilled to hear you enjoyed the day in Muskoka and found the experience relaxing, fun, and well-organized. It’s always my goal to make sure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and fully immersed in the beauty of Ontario’s nature. I’m so glad you had such a great time and that you’re already thinking about joining another hike! Can’t wait to welcome you back for another adventure soon. Thanks again for the kind words!

Javier and Luigi made the trip really special!
A very fun filled day hiking in Muskoka and taking in the views. Javier is a great tour guide! He’s extremely personable and goes out of his way to talk about things and point out cool sites or things along the trip. We travelled from Toronto to the Bracebridge area. The first hike was about 7 km and we stopped for lunch half way. It’s not that hard of a hike in terms of elevation; however there are roots and rocks (a typical muskoka hike around a lake) so it’s good to make sure you have a good pair of hiking shoes and a walking stick helps. Bring lots of water! You can leave your bag in the van so you don’t have to carry it around. We stopped at Webers on the way home which was great. Good price food and nice go experience that. I’d recommend taking a trip with Javier if you love the outdoors and being in nature.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! 😊 It was an absolute blast exploring Muskoka with you and I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the day filled with hiking and breathtaking views. Your kind words mean a lot to me! I'm glad you found the hike enjoyable and manageable, despite the roots and rocks typical of Muskoka trails. Safety and comfort are always our top priorities, so I appreciate your advice about bringing good hiking shoes and a walking stick. Hydration is key, especially on active days like these, so I'm glad you mentioned bringing lots of water! And stopping at Webers was the perfect way to end our adventure – good food and a nice experience indeed. Thank you for recommending our tours to fellow nature lovers! It was a pleasure sharing the beauty of Muskoka with you, and I can't wait to welcome you back for more outdoor adventures in the future!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Muskoka Ultimate Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Toronto.
How much does Muskoka Ultimate Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $145 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Toronto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Muskoka Ultimate Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Toronto is not rushed.
Is Muskoka Ultimate Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Toronto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Muskoka Ultimate Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Muskoka Ultimate Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Muskoka Ultimate Adventure?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Toronto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Toronto and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Muskoka Ultimate Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Toronto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Toronto?
+
On Outty we rank every Toronto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Niagara Falls Tour from Toronto: Boat Ride & Journey Behind Falls, Niagara Falls Canada Day Tour From Toronto + Boat Cruise Option, Niagara Falls Day Tour from Toronto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Toronto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Toronto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Muskoka Ultimate Adventure?
+
Included: Private transportation; In-vehicle air conditioning; and Parking fees. Not included: Gratuities; Dinner; and Lunch. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
What languages is Muskoka Ultimate Adventure offered in?
+
It is offered in English and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Muskoka Ultimate Adventure?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
Is Muskoka Ultimate Adventure wheelchair or stroller accessible?
+
The operator notes: Not recommended for pregnant travelers. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
What happens to Muskoka Ultimate Adventure if the weather is bad?
+
This experience depends on good weather. If it is canceled because of poor weather, you are offered a different date or a full refund.
What do travelers say about Muskoka Ultimate Adventure?
+
Across 14 reviews averaging 4.8 out of 5, recurring themes include the guide, photo opportunities, organization. Travelers single out the guide as the reason the experience works. One thing to know: Expect real walking or climbing: reviewers mention the effort involved.
