    An Educational and Thought-Provoking Experience

Emmett did an outstanding job leading our World War II tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kept the group engaged by asking thought-provoking questions while also taking the time to answer everyone’s questions thoroughly. One thing that really stood out was his ability to present historical facts while also addressing and debunking common myths, which gave us a much deeper understanding of the events. Although the subject matter is incredibly somber, Emmett handled it with professionalism, respect, and compassion. He presented the information in a way that was educational, engaging, and thought-provoking without losing sight of the human impact of the history. This was an exceptional tour, and we left with a greater appreciation and understanding of World War II. We highly recommend taking a tour with Emmett.

Response from the operator: Thank you for this thoughtful review, we appricate you taking the time to write it. We hope to see you again in the future. All the best from Radius Tours

Excellent day trip to Dachau with very knowledgeable and engaging Jake and Radius Tours.

We did the day tour of Dachau by train+bus from Munich. Jake was our guide for about 20 Americans. As a transplanted high school teacher from from Chicago, he was the perfect guide for us. He was engaging from the start - able to keep the atmosphere light while dealing with a grim subject. He has great in-depth knowledge of Dachau and the events surrounding it. The tour lasted about 3 hours on site and felt like just the right amount of time to see the important aspects, get some details and perspective but not feel overwhelmed by detail. It was a very sobering experience but Jake was able to deliver the material in a manner that was respectful yet forceful at the same time. He did a great job in keeping the group on pace while leaving plenty of openings for questions - for which he always seemed to have a thoughtful response. It is obvious that he cares very deeply for the subject and has the emotional depth to be able to present it. I fully recommend doing the same tour.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the full recommendation, and great review of your tour with Jake to the Memorial.

Munich World War II Sites Including Dachau Concentration Camp: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Munich.

How much does Munich World War II Sites Including Dachau Concentration Camp cost?

    +

Prices start at $87 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Munich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Munich World War II Sites Including Dachau Concentration Camp take?

    +

Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Munich is not rushed.

Is Munich World War II Sites Including Dachau Concentration Camp worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 591 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Munich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Munich World War II Sites Including Dachau Concentration Camp?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Munich World War II Sites Including Dachau Concentration Camp suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Munich World War II Sites Including Dachau Concentration Camp?

    +

Around 207 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Munich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Munich and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Munich World War II Sites Including Dachau Concentration Camp start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Munich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Munich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Munich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour with Train from Munich, Munich Classic Bike Tour @ 11.30am with Surfers & beergarden stop, Dachau Memorial Half-Day Tour from Munich (Early-Start). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Munich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Munich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
