  1. Learn about Mary's Column, that gave its name to the square; the Old- and New Town hall, and the famous “Glockenspiel” (clock tower). With its 43 bells and 32 figures, the Clock Tower is one of the most well known Munich attractions. Afterwards make sure to get a good view of the double towers of the cathedral Frauenkirche, the largest church in Munich, with the “footprint of the devil” and with a dark legend surrounding it. Follow your guide to Odeonsplatz, learn about the Beer-Hall- Putsch and listen to the story of a tumultuous night when two thousand men, lead by Adolf Hitler, marched to the centre of Munich trying to seize power. Pass by the baroque Theatine Church, built by the Elector of Bavaria, Ferdinand Maria and his wife as a thank you gesture for the birth of the long-awaited heir to the Bavarian crown, Prince Max Emanuel. You’ll also see Ludwigstrasse, a neo-classical styled street, where the State Library, the oldest university of Munich and the Gate of Victory are located. Go back towards the center to Max-Joseph- Square, enjoy the view of the Opera, the National Theater, and the Royal Palace, the Residence, the former palace of the Bavarian monarchs and the largest palace in all of Germany. Arrive at the royal brewery, the Hofbrauhaus established in 1589 and considered to be the mothership of all beer halls in the world. Exactly what we had hoped for

We were looking for a comprehensive walking tour that would show the highlights of the city in the context of its rich history, and that’s exactly what we experienced. We give this tour our highest recommendation. In fact, we will book again for when we bring other family members to the city. At the end of the tour, we were given recommendations for restaurants for lunch and we had a fantastic dining experience. Thanks again for this outstanding tour!

Response from the operator: Dear Traveler, We’re so grateful that you took the time to share your feedback with us. We will be happy to see you again. Have a wonderful day! Tina

Excellent GGS

We have been working with GGS - Siavash for the past 2 years now, availing guides, assistance and even transport at many times in whole of Europe. I find them to be one of the best agency to work with. The team is awesome and replies fast, service is impeccable, everything is always on time. 100's of our passengers have returned happy from them and we are looking to operate more than 1000 passengers with them in 2019. Cheers to GGS and Team.

Response from the operator: Dear Anshum, It has been a pleasure for Global Guide Services team to be at your service. Thanks for your Review of services we have offered to your clients and it make us happy to know your clients have been satisfied with our services during their trips in Europe. Siavash

Munich Private Walking Tour With A Professional Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Munich.

How much does Munich Private Walking Tour With A Professional Guide cost?

+

Prices start at $253 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Munich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Munich Private Walking Tour With A Professional Guide take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Munich is not rushed.

Is Munich Private Walking Tour With A Professional Guide worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Munich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Munich Private Walking Tour With A Professional Guide?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Munich Private Walking Tour With A Professional Guide suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Munich Private Walking Tour With A Professional Guide?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Munich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Munich and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Munich Private Walking Tour With A Professional Guide start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Munich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Munich?

+

On Outty we rank every Munich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Munich Classic Bike Tour @ 11.30am with Surfers & beergarden stop, Guided Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour with Train from Munich, Dachau Memorial Half-Day Tour from Munich (Early-Start). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Munich?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Munich?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
