    About this experience

This is the ultimate escape for those who find beauty in the raw and the untouched. Your journey takes you through a lush botanical paradise where your guide will point out wild orchids, tropical ferns, and the 'Boreh' plants used in traditional Balinese healing for centuries. As you glide across the twin lakes, the only sound you'll hear is the dip of the wooden paddle in the water—a rare moment of absolute zen that most tourists miss. At Banyumala, we don't just stand at the viewpoint; we descend into the heart of the ravine for a fully immersive swim in the mountain-spring pools. This tour is perfect for photographers, nature lovers, and anyone needing a 'digital detox' from the hustle of South Bali. We provide professional trekking sticks and local expertise to ensure you navigate the jungle trails safely while learning about the deep spiritual connection the local people have with these sacred waters. No fancy dress codes, no temple queues—just you, the jungle, and the water

A must do experience with an incredible team of professionals

From the beginning with the pick up from Munduk (where I was staying) to the very end when I have been dropped back everything was simply perfect. The guys (Agung, Luke, Yudi, Made and Adi) were great! During the trekking they provided us with a lot of interesting information on customs, traditions, trees and animals of the area. When crossing the river with the canoe they made sure we would get the best view of the lake helping us taking pictures and videos. BTW l really enjoyed this authentic and nature-friendly activity as the canoe do not have a motor (free arms workout). Last activity was the hidden waterfall: we arrived there at the perfect timinig: we were absolutely alone and with our guides help another round of incredible pictures were taken. The return was a free leg workout but absolutely worthy. What could be said about the lunch? It was soooo delicious: everything homemade and so flavourful. I personally want to thank you this incredible team of young people that made this experience unforgettable. Sara from Italy.

Response from the operator: Ciao Sara! Thank you so much for this incredible, detailed review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that every moment of your day—from the Munduk pickup to the final drop-off—was perfect. Agung, Luke, Yudi, Made, and Adi were so happy to read your kind words! They take great pride in sharing our traditions, keeping our canoe experience eco-friendly (glad you enjoyed the arm workout! 😄), and getting you to that hidden waterfall at the perfect quiet moment. And of course, we’ll pass your compliments to our local cook for the homemade lunch! Thank you for choosing us, Sara. You will always have friends here in Bali!

Is Munduk: All-Inclusive Twin Lake Trek, Canoe & Hidden Waterfall worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

    +

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
