    2. Lion's Point

Lion's Point is a vantage point located midway between Bhushi Dam and Aamby valley in Lonavala. It is one of the popular viewpoints in Lonavala and also among the must visit places in Lonavala. The view from the Lions Point is majestic and panoramic. One would see dozens of small waterfalls, lush green hills and lakes around during monsoon season. The sunrise and sunset views from here are mesmerizing. The wind is extremely strong at this place and it was quite thrilling to see many adventurous people get close to the edge to get 'that' living-on-the-edge photograph. The drive to the point is also equally scenic The Shiv-ling peak is a conical peak can be seen towards the left side of Lion's Point.

    3. Bhushi Dam

Bhushi Dam is a masonry dam on the Indrayani River in Lonavala, Maharashtra. Bhushi Dam is one of the top Lonavala tourist places and a very popular weekend getaway from Pune and Mumbai. The Dam is located in the backdrop of scenic hilly terrains between Lonavala and INS Shivaji. The dam was built in late 1860s for the Great Indian Peninsular Railway as a source of water for their steam engines. Water from the dam was carried to Lonavala, Khandala and the reversing station of the railways by cast-iron pipes. In the rainy season, when the Bhushi dam overflows, the water flows over a series of steps and then over some easily accessible rocky terrain. The terrain and the water make for a fun combination and this is why Bhushi dam gets crowded on weekends as well as during the holidays. There is a waterfall located very close to the dam, which is formed when the water gushes out through the dam during the monsoon months. Swimming is restricted due to the unpredictable flow of the water during the monsoon months. The lake created by Bhushi Dam is also used for power generation by Tata Power.

    4. Bhaja Caves

The caves are 400 feet above the village of Bhaja, on an important ancient trade route running from the Arabian Sea eastward into the Deccan Plateau.

    Great day away

This tour is a great way to get out of the city. It was rainy in parts and there are a lot of stairs but we all had fun (two adults and a 9year old). Our guide Sameer was excellent - we learned a lot about the area and he adjusted the schedule to our needs. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a day trip from Mumbai!

A private tour drive to the majestic valleys of Lonavala

This trip was recommended by Vikrant since I have mentioned to him that I have no itinerary for my 2 days here in Mumbai. We did already the 1st one and that was the Mumbai tour that I recommended to everyone. Well believe me on the spot decision of having this tour to Lonavala was never a regret to me. At first I had a doubt of taking it since no one had given a review, but I swear it turned to be a very lovely trip. I was lucky enough that two tour guides were there with me Vikrant and Sameer and of course our number driver Ram. It was comfortable being with them the whole trip for they were very open and sensitive to what my gender is. Yes, you have read it right I'm a transgender and they have accepted and respected me of what I am. So yes, for my LGBTQ families out there, they are the one's who'm you'll book your trip with, they are real and they've got lots of philosophies in life to share with for short they are very humorous that you won't feel bored. You have to consider these factors because it's a long trip and you need someone who are jolly and nice to converse with and that is totally them. It will perfectly blend with the long and winding road to Lonavala, visiting the historical tourist sights of Western India. Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your 5* review - great to hear you enjoyed your tour. It gives us immense pleasure to know that we have been able to match your expectations and at the same time impress you with our services. It was very nice having you with us and we look forward to welcoming you soon again.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.

How much does Mumbai to Lonavala Guided Tour in Private Vehicle cost?

    +

Prices start at $68 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mumbai to Lonavala Guided Tour in Private Vehicle take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.

Is Mumbai to Lonavala Guided Tour in Private Vehicle worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mumbai to Lonavala Guided Tour in Private Vehicle?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mumbai to Lonavala Guided Tour in Private Vehicle suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mumbai to Lonavala Guided Tour in Private Vehicle?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mumbai to Lonavala Guided Tour in Private Vehicle start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mumbai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mumbai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mumbai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
