Amazing insight into this incredible city.

There were 4 of us on an overnight stop in Mumbai as part of a cruise with Celebrity Cruises. We wanted a local guide to show us an unedited view of Mumbai. Nik did that & more. Pick up was from just outside the cruise terminal on both days. Times to suit us. The 2 days were hot & sunny - this added to the experience. Day 1 was a customised tour to see the sights, sounds & smells of Mumbai. Truly amazing!! If you are a backseat driver then suggest you keep your eyes firmly closed when being driven through the city. All the main sights of Mumbai were included. Day 2 left us humbled & inspired after 3 / 4 hours walking through the Dharavi Slum area. When in the West we talk of poverty we have no idea of what this truly means until you visit a place like this. The people are so friendly, welcoming & truly inspirational. The knowledge Nik has is incredible. Nik is very personable & this helps make the tour more interesting - you want to ask questions. His passion for the people & the area oozes from every pore. Of all the excursions & trips we have been on over the years, this is the best, simply because it is real.It will live with us for ever. It is not sanitized or diluted for fear of offending. It is a must when visiting Mumbai. The stark difference between the excesses of Dubai & what passengers experience on a cruise, could not be more evident. I challenge anyone not to be moved but also inspired. The tour finished with an optional lunch at a restaurant / local bar - the food was amazing but be aware that the spicing is totally different. Thank you Nik for an unforgettable couple of days.

Response from the operator: Namaste sir, We are glad to hear that you had great experience with us in Mumbai. Dynamic Mumbai is always keen to deliver tour as per customer interest and for us every tour is different then other. Thank you so much for your kind words and excellent review. Looking forward to seeing you again in mumbai at some point.

    Stunning Tour with Nikesh

Very difficult to put into words how good the tours we had with Nikesh were. We had the Dharavi Slum tour which was just breathtaking and having Nikesh as your guide was exceptional- living there he provided great insight and knowledge into the life there, he knew his neighbours well and took us around all areas of the slum including lunch at a local restaurant. Our first day combined the markets with a tour of Mumbai sights - Nikesh has great passion and knowledge. Very personable, friendly and a great sense of humour. Left all of us with great memories of our 2 days in Mumbai- thanks Nikesh

Response from the operator: Namaste sir, Thank you so much for your kind words. We are happy to hear that you had pleasant experience in mumbai with us. Hoping to see you again in mumbai at some point.

Mumbai Sightseeing with Dharavi Slum: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.

How much does Mumbai Sightseeing with Dharavi Slum cost?

    +

Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mumbai Sightseeing with Dharavi Slum take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.

Is Mumbai Sightseeing with Dharavi Slum worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mumbai Sightseeing with Dharavi Slum?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mumbai Sightseeing with Dharavi Slum suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mumbai Sightseeing with Dharavi Slum?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mumbai Sightseeing with Dharavi Slum start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mumbai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mumbai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mumbai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
