The Mumbai experience
I booked this tour with a friend from France who wanted to check out the city. Being a Mumbai resident myself I was surprised by this tour. So many places that I myself haven't seen or experienced. Our driver Ayub, was amazing. He was so educative and patient with all our questions about the city. Will definitely recommend anyone this tour who would want to experience Mumbai.

This really was a 'Dream Tour' that showed us the real Mumbai
As cruise ship passengers we only had a short time in Mumbai; we wanted to see as much as possible and knew the cruise ship tours don't offer enough in the time on shore. We booked with Dream Tours via email and communication was always fast which was reassuring. We met our guide Dinesh at the cruise terminal exactly as agreed and the car and driver were just a few meters away. We asked to see the main attractions and Dinesh was very honest in assessing what was realistic in the time we had - again the was reassuring as he didn't promise anything impossible. However, Dinesh did deliver a memorable tour of Mumbai. We drove to major sights and attractions with commentary along the way, frequently stopping and walking for photos and more information about the sights and their history. The real bonus with Dinesh was that he took us 'inside' places to meet people to see where they work and live; the laundry was especially interesting as we entered the narrow streets and behind the scenes (cruise tour passengers reported only looking from the 'viewing area' so they missed a huge part of the laundry). He also took us to other places that tourists don't often go, this was evident from the reactions of the locals - this really enhanced our experience. You will get right into the city, markets, streets, work areas and the people. Dinesh knew where to go and deliver an exceptional city tour. We were returned to our ship at the agreed time (cruise passengers have no worries about missing the ship). Dinesh offers to take many photos for you and selfies, all this makes for a great time. Indian people are so friendly and kind, ignore any comments from cruise presentations that say anything bad - they're being unfair and scaremongering to get you to book with them. Have no worries being amongst the people. If you're visiting Mumbai, then I recommend booking with Mumbai Dream Tours.

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mumbai Shore Excursions Full Day Mumbai City Tour with Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does Mumbai Shore Excursions Full Day Mumbai City Tour with Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $5000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mumbai Shore Excursions Full Day Mumbai City Tour with Guide take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is Mumbai Shore Excursions Full Day Mumbai City Tour with Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mumbai Shore Excursions Full Day Mumbai City Tour with Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mumbai Shore Excursions Full Day Mumbai City Tour with Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Mumbai Shore Excursions Full Day Mumbai City Tour with Guide?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mumbai Shore Excursions Full Day Mumbai City Tour with Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
