Remarkable tour of crawford market with Chetan
Chetan showed me around the crawford market area in between two monsoon rain showers. Tour is very good, organic and Chetan gives good background information. Furthermore he knows exactly where to taste some local street food or offer you a saffran chai. I can only recommend! Very fine English!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a pleasure showing you around Crawford Market and exploring the city between the monsoon showers. I'm glad you enjoyed the local street food, saffron chai, and the stories behind the places we visited. Your kind words about the tour and my English mean a lot. I hope to welcome you back to Mumbai for another adventure soon. Safe travels! 😊

Excellent guide and interesting tour
As it turned out I was the only one booked into the small group tour and had a personalized tour through the markets and temples. My guide was very knowledgable and we had some great philisophical and spiritual discussions. The tour was interesting and I got to see Temples and some markets that I otherwise would not have visited,
Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review! We are glad you enjoyed the personalised experience and the opportunity to explore the markets and temples with your guide. It’s great to hear the conversations added an extra dimension to the tour. Thank you for joining us and we’re happy you discovered places you might not have visited otherwise!

Great market tour
We really enjoyed our tour of the markets with Javed. He was friendly and knowledgeable and we saw many different types of market. I was pleased too that it wasn’t treated as a sales opportunity- we were simply there to look. I particularly enjoyed the fabric wholesale market and the flower market where they were making garlands for ceremonies. The temple was interesting and Javed explained it really clearly. Would recommend this tour if you have some time in Mumbai and want to see something different
Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review! 😊 We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed exploring the markets with Javed and that his knowledge and friendly approach made the experience even better. It’s great that you appreciated seeing the variety of markets from the vibrant flower market to the fascinating fabric wholesale area and learning more about the temple along the way. We are also glad you liked that the tour focuses on observing and learning rather than shopping. Thank you for recommending the tour and for joining Reality Tours & Travel during your time in Mumbai! 🌟

Mumbai markets and temples tour
From the minute our tour started Hitesh, our tour guide, started pointing out places of interest and gave us information about what to expect. The tour took us through busy markets but we were always shepherded safely through them. In the temples Hitesh advised us of respecting the rules of the temple, which is one of the things that Reality Tours likes to employ on all its Tours, respect for all. Great tour and brilliant tour guide.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that Hitesh made you feel informed and well looked after from the very start of the tour. It’s great to know you felt safe navigating the busy markets and appreciated the guidance on respecting local customs and temples. Respect is very important to us, and we’re glad this came through in your experience. Thank you for your kind words — we hope to welcome you again soon!

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mumbai Markets and Temples Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does Mumbai Markets and Temples Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mumbai Markets and Temples Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is Mumbai Markets and Temples Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 65 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mumbai Markets and Temples Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mumbai Markets and Temples Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mumbai Markets and Temples Tour?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 2.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mumbai Markets and Temples Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
