Review of Our Sri Lanka Trip with Driver Lalank
We visited Sri Lanka with our family in the second week of August and booked an 8‑day trip with Lala, a driver we found through a YouTube recommendation. From the moment he picked us up at the airport, he treated us like family and took care of everything. Lala was responsible, kind, and always smiling. He helped us with food, hotels, and sightseeing. Whenever we didn’t like a hotel, he immediately showed us other options until we were comfortable. After dropping us at a hotel, he would wait until we confirmed everything was fine before leaving. He joined us at most places, explained what he knew, and even spoke with locals to get us discounts. He followed our itinerary perfectly, adjusting plans when needed due to time or weather, but still managed to cover almost all the places. Throughout the trip, he never asked for extra money. Many times we invited him to eat with us, but he politely declined. His favorite line was: “Sir, are you happy? If you are happy, I am also happy.” That really showed his dedication. Since we prefer Indian food, Lala made sure to take us to Indian restaurants every day, even late at night. He only left after we finished dinner and reached the hotel safely. The next morning, he was always ready before us. His commitment was truly impressive. Another line he often said was: “You are our guests. Enjoy the trip to the maximum. If you are happy, we Sri Lankans are happy.” We felt his genuine care and hospitality throughout the journey. If you get such company on any trip, you don’t need to worry about places, hotels, or the journey—he will take care of everything. My family enjoyed his company so much that even on the last day, when we were heading to the airport, my daughters wanted to buy small gifts for their friends. Lala took us to a local market and patiently waited until we finished shopping. For all these extra trips and visits, which were not part of our itinerary, he never raised any concerns about money or kilometers, and he never asked for a single rupee extra. At the end, after dropping us at the airport, he didn’t ask for anything beyond the agreed price. He is a gentleman, very genuine, and traveling with him feels like traveling with a friend. We 100% recommend Lala to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Just tell him what you want to see, and he will take care of everything—places, timings, hotels, food, temples, and more. Thank you, Lala, for taking care of my family and making our trip so memorable. We wish you and your family all the best, especially for your children’s education.

A special highlight was staying at Lalith’s Jungle Hotel in Sigiriya—clean, cozy, and surrounded by greenery, with delicious home-cooked meals by his wife, Sanji, that were a highlight of our trip. The hospitality felt like staying with family. Lalith and his team also arranged activities like a Yala safari and provided insider tips to avoid crowds and scams, ensuring every moment was stress-free. The value for money is unbeatable, with fuel, parking, and driver accommodations included, and Lalith’s transparency about additional entry fees (like $30 for Sigiriya or $60 for safaris) helped us plan our budget. This tour is perfect for anyone wanting a private, hassle-free way to explore Sri Lanka’s beauty, from its temples to its beaches and mountains. We left with incredible memories and new friends in Lalith, Sanji, and Rukman. We’ll definitely be back and booking with them again! Highly, highly recommended!

Sri Lanka with Manju
It was so wonderful to have Manju as our driver and our friend throughout our visit to Sri Lanka. He took excellent care of us in a kind and gentle manner. He took us to special places we would otherwise not have seen and our conversations while travelling gave us a great insight into Sri Lanka life and culture. It was a pleasure to be with him. I would highly recommend this driver.

Unforgettable Experience
We will never forget our Sri Lankan adventure with Manju at the wheel. He was so professional and kind. Not only was he our driver but it also felt like he was our carer. He always looked out for the children who adored him. The hours spent in the van with him, sharing stores from both our cultures that are so far apart made the journeys fly by. He gave us a gorgeous insight into the Sri Lankan way of life. I would highly recommend Manju to anyone visiting Sri Lanka in the future.
