    Horseback Riding Experience

We had a really great time on this one-hour horseback riding experience at the ranch! My horse was absolutely adorable, and the lady at the entrance was very kind and welcoming. One of the guides also kindly took some photos and videos of us, which was a really nice. One thing to keep in mind is that you cannot bring any bags with you, not even a small fanny pack, so I recommend wearing clothes with pockets to keep your phone with you. The only downside for me was the group size. There were around 20 people, which felt a little too large for this type of activity. A smaller group would have made the experience feel more personal and enjoyable. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it !

Easy beautiful horseback ride in Hollywood Hills

My experience was wonderful. We had a small group and were given clear and helpful instructions on how to navigate riding. As a beginner, I felt very comfortable on Tulip. Our guide, Jessica, was wonderful and an amazing photographer while on horseback! We had to wait for a bit at the beginning while the entire group gathered and they got our horses ready. The hour trip was gorgeous and it was great to get to be on horseback. Would definitely do it again!

    Trail Rides with a View

This was a memorable experience. The team at the Ranch were very helpful and the views were amazing. And the horses were so gentle and sweet. I would have loved to taken my horse, Jenny, home with me.

Mulholland Trail Horseback Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Angeles.

How much does Mulholland Trail Horseback Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Angeles usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mulholland Trail Horseback Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Angeles is not rushed.

Is Mulholland Trail Horseback Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 290 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Los Angeles, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mulholland Trail Horseback Tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Mulholland Trail Horseback Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mulholland Trail Horseback Tour?

    +

Around 102 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Angeles can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Angeles and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mulholland Trail Horseback Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Angeles within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Angeles?

    +

Los Angeles rewards travellers who cluster their bookings by geography rather than by theme. Studio tours and Hollywood walks sit inland, the Malibu and Santa Monica coast runs west, and Griffith Observatory and the canyon hikes work best at dawn or dusk. We weight transport clarity in the ranking here: whether pickup is included changes an LA day more than the tour itself. On Outty we rank every Los Angeles experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hollywood Sign 2.5-Hour Tour with Comedians and Their Dogs, Los Angeles Hollywood Sign Hike: Front, Behind, and Expert Guide, Los Angeles Original 90-Minute Walking Tour to The Hollywood Sign. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Angeles?

    +

March to May and September to November, for clear air and open canyon roads. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Angeles?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
