Ninh Binh Day Tour - MUST do

Phil, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the culture of Ninh Binh and Vietnam to life, allowing us to truly appreciate their rich heritage and people. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to our comfort and security ensured we felt in the best hands. I highly recommend taking the time to plan your trip around Phil, who is undoubtedly the best tour guide I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with during my extensive travels. Thank you, Phil and Jerry, for an unforgettable experience. We look forward to returning!

A must see with this excellent tour company, thank you Phil our guide!

We are so glad we did this tour as we didn't know about Ninh Binh until we realised Hanoi was too chaotic for us to stay for 3 days and we wanted to see some countryside. Our hotel La Siesta Premium recommended Amazing Ninh Binh due to feedback from previous customers so they booked it for us directly. It was the best experience we had in Vietnam, even though we loved Halong Bay, this tour had so many great parts to it, which made it unforgettable. The bike ride we did was in a different location to where other tour groups took theirs, as ours took us to a small village and then the home of the family we visited. We loved seeing a farmhouse and family lifestyle to get to know the local culture. We visited in the following order: mua cave for the panoramic view, the climb up is very tough so do take lots of breaks. Bike ride, family visit, temple visit, tam coc and the old citadel. The lunch was generous and delicious, I tried bits of it though I was unwell from the previous nights meal in hanoi, so they catered to my needs as I couldn't eat much. Phil was our guide, his English was excellent and the information he gave was very insightful, we learnt a lot about Vietbamese history. He was incredibly courteous. There were only 5 of us in the group which should have been for a maximum of 8, there was a solo female traveller with us and he looked after her. There were plenty of toilet breaks and water provided. I am a tour guide in the UK and it was such a pleasure to meet Phil, we thank him so much for such an excellent day and experience. It is a long day but totally worth it! We have recommended this company to our friends and family who want to visit after seeing our pictures!

Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Day tour with transfer, local family & bike: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Day tour with transfer, local family & bike cost?

+

Prices start at $76 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Day tour with transfer, local family & bike take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Day tour with transfer, local family & bike worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Day tour with transfer, local family & bike?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Day tour with transfer, local family & bike suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Day tour with transfer, local family & bike?

+

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Day tour with transfer, local family & bike start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

+

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
