Tour of Historic Pompeii and the Majestic Vesuvius in Great Comfort
This was our second experience with AmalfiDriver, further increasing our respect and appreciation for the excellent service of this company. Josef, the owner of the company, was very attentive and was very considerate of our interests and preferences from our first contact. He prepared a tour tailored to us, taking into consideration our interest in the history and culture of the city of Pompeii and our appreciation for nature and outdoor activities. He immediately coordinated a private tour in Spanish for us led by an excellent archaeologist who has been working in the ruins of Pompeii for nearly 10 years and who conveyed to us the passion and respect he has for his valuable work and for the culture of a people that once was. The coordination of the trip was unsurpassed, as we were transported in a luxury Mercedes Benz SUV in impeccable condition. Our driver and companion, Ludovico, was a very formal and proper young man, very punctual and very attentive to our comfort. Communication with Ludovico was precise and efficient, and we really enjoyed his effort to communicate with us in Spanish, which he is learning. Ludovico was careful to agree on pickup points, help us select a restaurant that exactly fit our tastes and preferences, and at all times he was very attentive to our hydration and to ensuring we were well settled. His ability at the wheel to drive firmly and safely on the countless mountain curves allowed us to feel at ease and be able to enjoy the spectacular views observed along the way to the fullest. It was an 8-hour emotional trip that will remain in our memories forever. This was our second day trip that we took with AmalfiDriver, who maintain a constant level of attention and exceptional treatment that have far exceeded our expectations and more than made up for the value paid.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful feedback! I am flattered! God bless you. Josef

Everything was perfect!
Everything we wanted and needed! Fantastic communication from start to finish. Our tour was in a very comfortable and modern vehicle. Our driver Marco was fantastic, very knowledgeable and good company, with great English skills. We did everything we wanted to do, with a few little extra surprises thrown in. I can not recommend this company enough! 10/10! We also booked our airport transfers ... our driver was still waiting, smiling, despite a lengthy delay!

Best wine tasting ever!
The reason I give this 5 stars is our driver , Marco. We started the day getting dropped in a interesting area of Sorrento. We did some shopping and photo taking of the scenery. It was a very nice drive. We then went to Pompeii. We had 2 hours. For us this was enough but if you wanted to see everything there in detail this is not the day trip to take. Lastly we did not have great weather and had to cancel the Vesuvius part of the trip. Our guide offered a wine tasting and here is where things went from good to amazing! The wine tasting was nothing like in the states ( where they are a waste of money and you barely get any wine for "tasting"), instead we started with a GLASS of sparkling wine ( no charge yet BTW) on arrival. We then went to the small cellar and bottling facility . After this we went to the main tasting room. We went with the premium tasting which was about the price you would expect in the states at a good winery however we were shocked that along with with wine we were given a four course Italian meal that was absolutely delicious , as was the wine. In fact I would suggest the wine tasting be a option in general but as on the day of your tour if you can have this option and I assure you will not be disappointed!
Response from the operator: Hi, Thank you so much for your beautiful words! Best regards Josef from AmalfiDriver.com

Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii & Sorrento day-trip in 8 hours (privately): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii & Sorrento day-trip in 8 hours (privately) cost?
+
Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii & Sorrento day-trip in 8 hours (privately) take?
+

Is Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii & Sorrento day-trip in 8 hours (privately) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii & Sorrento day-trip in 8 hours (privately)?
+

Is Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii & Sorrento day-trip in 8 hours (privately) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii & Sorrento day-trip in 8 hours (privately)?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii & Sorrento day-trip in 8 hours (privately) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
