: Perfect day trip from Tokyo - Fuji views + Hakone + shopping!
1. Mt. Fuji 5th Station: Breathtaking views of Fuji-san right up close. Even with some clouds, standing at 2,300m was unreal. Guide gave us 45 mins to explore and take photos. Felt so peaceful. 2. Hakone: The Lake Ashi pirate ship cruise + ropeway views of Owakudani were stunning. Seeing steam vents up close + trying the black eggs was a fun local experience. Guide explained everything clearly in English. 3. Gotemba Premium Outlets: Huge brands at great prices! Got 2 hours for shopping which was perfect - not rushed. Easy to find the meeting point again after. 4. Organization: Viator booking was smooth, instant confirmation, and bus was clean + punctual. Pickup from Shinjuku was convenient. Tour guide was friendly, on time, and shared lots of history/facts.

I booked this trip through TripAdvisor and noticed there was a small booking fee. Honestly, at first I wasn't thrilled, but after everything went so smoothly, I think it was worth it. The confirmation came instantly, the provider had all my info ready, and I didn't run into any issues at all. For the peace of mind and how easy the whole process was, I don't mind the fee. Just be aware it's there when you book. Still 5 stars from me.

Mt Fuji day trip
We booked this tour through Klook and really enjoyed the day and all the sights. Our guide Ayumi and driver Emico were awesome! Our day started off with rain and lots of cloud, but the weather fined up as we approached the famous mountain which meant we were lucky enough to see Mt Fuji in all its glory. The sea of clouds which is next to it was stunning and mesmerising. Shopping at Gotemba Outlets was good. I love that in Japan purchases are mostly duty free for tourists. The cable car at Hakone would have been amazing on a clear day but low cloud set in and we couldn’t see the immense valley below which was just as well!! We spent some time at the site of the volcano which has hot springs, lots of smoke coming out of fissures in the ground plus visible sulfur together with the smell of sulfur - it is after all a volcano. The highlight for all of us was getting on the pirate ship and cruising on lake Ashli!! It’s a proper pirate ship and the lake itself with its pristine volcanic waters is just stunning! What a day! We really enjoyed it! The bento lunch was pretty good too. The eyelids got very heavy on the way back to Tokyo ; )

A full day with many location stops
This was an amazing tour for the price we paid. There are multiple stops, covering so much ground. It was nice to have the bus take us all the places, because the roads seemed complicated to navigate. Our guide was extremely nice and the bus driver was fabulous. Mt Fuji was impressive up that close. I wish we'd had more time at the outlet mall. So fun there. I highly recommend this tour if you want to cover a lot of ground and see many things in one day.
