Fantastic and memorable tour
My fiancée and I were taken around for a day tour with Mark. Mark is a very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide - I dare say the most knowledgeable by far out of our whole trip to Tassie! He was chock-full of fun facts and informative tid-bits about just about everything we came across during the tour, whether it was the storied history behind the bridges/highways in Tassie or even right down to the reason certain tree species were found in some parts of the land and not others, types of wildlife native to the land, etc. Mark is clearly passionate about Tassie and keen to share his insights to the beautiful scenery around us, and it showed clear as day. He also tailored suggestions for our itinerary for the day based on the types of travellers we were, and it worked out wonderfully. I highly recommend Mark and Tassie Tours to everyone visiting Tasmania for a truly memorable and fun time :)
Response from the operator: Wow – thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear that you and your fiancée had such a fantastic day with Mark.

Stunning scenery
Had a great time visiting Mount Field national park on this tour. Plenty to do and see. Highlight of the trip was definitely the forest walk to Russell falls. Stunning scenery which was topped of with the sightings of the local wildlife. Mark our guide was truly hilarious and gave us many laughs throughout the day whilst also being very informative. The tour finishes with a visit to the MONA art gallery which is one of the must do things to do whilst in Hobart. All in all of you want a fun day trip to see some of Tasmanian I highly recommend going on this tour
Response from the operator: Sounds like you had a great day with Mark! Russell Falls is pretty spectacular! Thanks for taking the time to leave such an awesome review. Cheers, Tassie Tours

Brilliant experience 10/10
Such an awesome tour we loved it from start to finish! Mark was a brilliant guide he had us laughing all day and was very knowledgeable about all matters Tassie and Hobart related. The actual tour itself was fantastic too we thoroughly enjoyed the walk and Mount Field and MONA. This is a no brainer if you have a spare day whilst visiting Hobart or even if you’re a local. Great price too.
Response from the operator: Sounds like a great day! We hope you took some great photos of the spectacular waterfalls in Mount Field and enjoyed the quirky art at MONA! Cheers, Tassie Tours

Amazing day tour to Russell Falls and Mona
This was a really great day out and a well organised tour. Mt Field and Russell Falls were really beautiful, the walk through the giant old trees was breathtaking. The combination of stopping at Mona and catching the ferry back into the city was so great, nice to see the crazy art, have a drink and jump on the ferry back to the waterfront - how perfect is that?! Peter, our guide for the day, was engaging, funny and shared so much information, not just about where we were but other areas in the state. Totally recommend this tour (and company). 5 stars, would definitely book again on a return Tasmanian trip.
Response from the operator: This is awesome Alice! It sounds as though you had an awesome day full of adventure! We hope to see you next time you visit Tassie. Thanks for leaving a great review Tassie Tours

Worth it
We really enjoyed this trip! It’s good that you have different options for the hiking. We did the longest one and enjoyed it a lot! With the stop on the tour back (salmon ponds), we ate good food and even saw a platypus :)
Response from the operator: Thanks for the review, Karoline! We are glad you enjoyed the day and got to see a platypus! Cheers, Tassie Tours

Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hobart.
How much does Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail cost?
+
Prices start at $104 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hobart usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hobart is not rushed.
Is Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hobart, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hobart can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hobart and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hobart within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hobart?
+
On Outty we rank every Hobart experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus- Return Tour (2.5 hours), Full-Day Guided Bruny Island Tour from Hobart, Day Tour in Mt. Field, Mt. Wellington, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Richmond. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hobart?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hobart?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail?
+
Included: Entrance fees; In-vehicle air conditioning; and Knowledgable guide. Not included: Lunch. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail include hotel pickup?

What languages is Mount Field, Waterfalls and Tasting Trail offered in?
+
