What you get

    About this experience

In this tour, you will be taken by our experienced local guide to the heights of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. You will see the change in the vegetation with the mountain’s altitude. Giant, centuries-old pine trees and expanses of yellow bamboo mark the higher reaches of our climb, and we may see mountain goats and langur monkeys along the way. This climb is a challenge for you to break your limits. However, don’t worry. With the support of the porters, you will be guided by our dedicated guide through each specific step to conquer the roof of Indochina. The peak is on the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, which has the status of a nature reserve. It protects the great diversity of animal and plant life, including over 100 hundred varieties of orchids that flourish in this unique ecosystem. You can see the vegetation change as you trek higher, culminating in a forest of dwarf bamboo near the top.

2 day trek in Mt. Fansipan + 1 day trek in rice fields of Sapa

We had a wonderful 2 day trek in Mt. Fansipan followed by a 1 day trek in the rice fields of Sapa. Everything was super well organized and our group of 5 couldn’t ask for more in terms of the prior arrangements, transport arrangements, quality of the guide and porters plus all the coordination. I would definitely recommend “Trekking Tour Sapa” to anyone considering doing something in this area

    Super Fun trip

We went for a 2 day hiking up to Fansipan. Our guide, Chu, was very patient with us and quiet (which we appreciated very much). Route was well planned and weather was super good. Chu also helped me with my marriage proposal which was successful. All in all, a very good experience. Will go again.

2d1n Trek to Roof of Indochina

I did the 2d1n trek to the Roof of Indochina. The trek was well-paced. My guide (Pao) was knowledgeable, friendly and took care of me well. The view when I reached the summit was hampered by cloudy weather, but the summit area was nice and the climb overall was an enjoyable experience. Trekking Tour Sapa was responsive to my requests and able to cater to my needs. Highly recommended for a fuss-free trekking experience in Sapa!

Mount Fansipan 2 Days Trek – Roof of Indochina, H'mong Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sapa.

How much does Mount Fansipan 2 Days Trek – Roof of Indochina, H'mong Guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $185 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sapa usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mount Fansipan 2 Days Trek – Roof of Indochina, H'mong Guide take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sapa is not rushed.

Is Mount Fansipan 2 Days Trek – Roof of Indochina, H'mong Guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sapa, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mount Fansipan 2 Days Trek – Roof of Indochina, H'mong Guide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mount Fansipan 2 Days Trek – Roof of Indochina, H'mong Guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mount Fansipan 2 Days Trek – Roof of Indochina, H'mong Guide?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sapa can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sapa and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mount Fansipan 2 Days Trek – Roof of Indochina, H'mong Guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sapa within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sapa?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sapa experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sapa 2 Days 1 Night From Hanoi - Overnight in Ta Van Village, Glass Bridge, Cat Cat Village, Moana, Alpine Coaster Sapa Tour, Sapa 1 day trek with local guide to the village by Comlam. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sapa?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sapa?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
