We had an amazing time on...
We had an amazing time on this tour. Everything was beautiful! Our tour guide, Komang Yus, was excellent, he was so friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. He got us to our destinations safely and allowed plenty of time for site seeing and pictures. I would definitely recommend him as a guide and this tour package.

Great Trip - Easy and hands off
Tequila and Adi were absolute legends. They took care of breakfast for us on the mountains peak, encouraged everyone in the group and kept the vibes high! Even when one of us fell ill during the hike, the team were able to have someone come and attend to them, and also help them get up the mountain despite their illness. What we really appreciated about booking with Tequila and Adi was how hands off everything was. Once we gave them our details and locked in a day, everything was taken care for, and they were able to make it so easy. Their skill to be able to speak English as well was also amazing, and we talked to them and made them a part of our group conversations as well. Thanks so much Adi & Tequila, we loved it and would highly recommend you to others as well. :)

Climb a volcano at 2 am?
Jericho was our local trekking guide, and he took incredible care of us throughout the entire volcano hike. As an added bonus, he’s an amazing photographer and such a kind, funny person. This was definitely not an easy hike, but it was incredibly rewarding. We started in the dark wearing headlamps and made our way up with many other travelers. We went on a weekend, so it was quite crowded with international visitors from Europe, the U.S., and local groups. Be prepared for a different hiking etiquette — some groups move quickly and closely, so it can feel a bit hectic at times. The sunrise at the top was absolutely spectacular. Our guide spoke excellent English and helped us every step of the way, including serving breakfast and coffee at the summit. Also — watch out for the motorbikes! If you’re active and adventurous, this may be one of the coolest experiences you can have in Bali. It completely blew our minds. Loved every minute of it!

GO ON THIS HIKE with this group
It was amazing. SAN the hike guide was so friendly and professional. He even helped me pick the best spots for the best photos. The driver to the mountain and back was great too it’s a nice size car so you can rest and relax before and after the climb. Fully recommend.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Private Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.
How much does Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Private Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $300000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Private Guide take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.
Is Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Private Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Private Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Private Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Private Guide?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Private Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ubud?
+
On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ubud?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ubud?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
