Dika the boss man!!
Dika was an excellent guide and host, so funny and a great photographer. He made us feel welcome and amongst friends, and his knowledge of the volcanic fields and the local area was second to none. Prapte was also an excellent driver, delivering us quickly and safely to the jeeps with an excellent stop at a local coffee plantation on the way. Thanks again to all involved!

Nice excursion to the volcano caldera
Kadek putra is a very kind and considerate guide and a safe driver. I had a great experience, pick up in Seminyak and drive to Mount Batur for off-road jeep, visit the lava field, hot springs bathing and lunch. Plus a quick stop at a coffee / tea tasting. The off-road driver Leon was also very impressive with his skills. You don’t go to the top of the mountain but enough to get a great view and it’s certainly easier than hiking. The hot springs were very well maintained but the changing rooms are simple cubicle with a shower curtain and no seat. Overall a lovely day.

Great day out
Jeep tour Dont walk when you can take a Jeep. Picked us up in a normal car from hotel, had a coffee then jumped into the jeep. If offered a blanket for 50k to hire absolutely get it as the wind is cold. No need for sneakers but take a jumper/long sleeve shirt for wind. The sunset was spectacular the day we went and the guide knew all the angles for excellent photos. We asked to leave the sunrise spot first and got to the lava fields before everyone else so got great photos. Off to the hot springs…. Hot pools You’ll get a locker, towel, change rooms and shower for after. The first two pools at top are the hot ones the lower ones were perfect temperature and suggest to finish in cooler ones. Get the massage even if just your shoulders which is 150k its half the experience. And take your plastic shoes its why you purchased them. Cat poo coffee gorgeous gardens, excellent setting explained the process. Tried the 20 welcome drinks and the coffee… pretty good actually Next stop 1 mins away, brunch lunch…. All included chicken satays and mei Goreing some of the beat we have had excellent tour fantastic value for everyone! Absolutely sensational day great value.

10/10, just AMAZING!! Recommend this everyone!
Me and my girlfriend visited Bali for the first time and wanted to visit Mt. Batur, one of the 3 volcanos. We booked the jeep tour at sunrise and everything went so smoothly. At 3:10 am, as expected, we got picked up by our driver „Dib“, who was very friendly and pleasant to talk to, great English speaker and excellent driver! Soon we arrived at the meeting point at a hotel where we got greeted with tea and coffee, and some and introduced us to the jeep driver „Putu“, who took us up to Mt. Batur. Putu was also an excellent and careful driver trying to make the ride up as smooth as possible, the terrain was a bit muddy and it was dark, but it was no challenge for him. At the top he told us a bit about the Volcano which was very interesting and he took so many beautiful pictures of us, definitely an expert photograph! He was also a very pleasant to talk to and made us feel very comfortable, very friendly guide and we had all the time in the world to enjoy the sunrise. Next he took us back down the mountain towards the „Black Lava“, which is a spot where the lava from the last eruption 25 years ago had flown to. It was a huge, and I really mean HUGE place full of cooled down lava rocks, so quiet and peaceful. Next he dropped us off at the hot springs and told us to contact Dib 20 minutes before we were ready to leave. The hot springs were absolutely amazing, especially after feeling so cold from the trip up the volcano in the early morning. It is kinda like a small resort, with changing rooms, showers, a restaurant, and multiple pools filled with hot water, and as it’s right next to the Mt. Batur‘s lake, you have a very stunning and relaxing view towards it. Before we went to shower and change, we contacted Dib, as instructed by Pulu, and there he was, right on time! Dib took us to a coffee plantation next to a jungle cliff with amazing view where we got to try like 10 different coffees and teas, and a small box of tapioca crisps. Some tees and coffee were very unique and everything tasted amazing, they also had a small shop where you were able to buy the teas and coffee for reasonable prices. They even had Luwak Coffee, which was very interesting. As the last stop, Dib took us to a really nice and spacey restaurant very close nearby which served traditional Indonesian food with a stunning view. The food was great and definitely filled our stomachs. Afterwards Dib took us back to the residency we were staying at. Me and my girlfriend were very happy with the tour, and it felt like such a pleasant and relaxing way to spent our morning, nothing was rushed, we had all the time in the world, Dib and Pulu were amazing drivers and guides, the communication was great, and we had no problems at all. The tour started at 3:00am and ended around 12:00pm, depending on how long you plan to spent at each stop. 10/10, I recommend this tour to everyone wanting to visit Mt. Batur!

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mount Batur Jeep Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.
How much does Mount Batur Jeep Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mount Batur Jeep Tour take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.
Is Mount Batur Jeep Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 86 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mount Batur Jeep Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mount Batur Jeep Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mount Batur Jeep Tour?
+
Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mount Batur Jeep Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ubud?
+
On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ubud?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ubud?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
