Mount Agung highest peak hike
Me and my partner had a really great experience. We were staying in Sidemen so quite close to the mountain. We got picked up by the driver at 11pm to head to where gear hire was. We didn’t come prepared for a hike so got a pair of boots, they weren’t top quality, yet had ankle support and grip on the bottom which is essential for this hike. Those cost 150,000 IDR per pair. We also got a jacket to keep us warm as it gets cold at the top. These cost 100,000 each. They only had size XL, so as a smaller female it was very oversized. Still did the trick. We got to the base, met our guide and had fried banana and coffee. Got given poles and off we went by 12:15am. We took 2 bigger stops on the way. The first we were given tea or coffee and a Nasi Goreng along with the option of boiled eggs and chocolate bars. The guide lit a fire. It was very beautiful overlooking the clouds. The second big stop was 10 minutes from the top at 4:50am. We waited here until 5:30am as it’s sheltered from wind and a fire could be lit. We ate more snacks like boiled eggs, chocolate bars and more fried banana. Tea and coffee were offered as well. We took water breaks on the way too. Our guide ensured to warn us where to step at tricky parts and always handed me the ropes. When we didn’t need the sticks he placed them somewhere to collect on the way back. We were given gloves with grips too. And he carried a rain racket for us if needed. All included. He offered to take pictures at the top. He spoke enough English for basic conversations. The hike definitely can be challenging, especially going down as it’s a lot of force on the knees and ankles and can be slippery on the small socks and dirt. If you like hiking and want a challenge I 100% recommend. It’s very long tiring night/ day. But well worth the view! Such a cool experience. We got down in 2 hours 40 minutes. Leaving the top at 7am. We got picked up by the driver and given a small bottle of cold water and cold towels before being taken home. For two people we paid 1.7 million IDR, then 500,000 IDR for pick up and drop off (could vary depending where you are staying). If you need to go to the bathroom, you can tell the Guide and he will point to a safe spot to do so, make sure you pack your own tissues and take all the rubbish with you. The guide did stop twice to pray at the temple and one of the check points, he asks politely and we just waited for him:)

Amazing hike, well organised
We did the Mt Agung to South Peak, via Pasar Agung. Dekwar was very efficient in coordinating this hike. Although we had requests like late pick up etc, he managed to plan everything nicely. Our guide was Wenten and he was extremely professional. He controlled the pace very well so that we will not be overly fatigued. He brought banana, beng beng and hot tea/coffee which was amazing. The poles and gloves that he lent us were good as well. Hike was not easy. You really need to have good shoes with grip. There was a lot of scrambling on fours as well. We are slightly above average in fitness and did some hiking occasionally but we took 4hours up and 4.5hours down. Don't recommend for any beginners. From the top we could see mt Rinjani and Mt Batukaru and some volcanic fumes.

Awesome but heavy hike to the top.
We went this night to mount agung with our guide Kedah. The company has sent a driver to pick us up. He arrived already before pick-up time. He drove us to the start and we departed on time. The walk took us 4h30 to reach the top but our guide Kedah assisted us always on the tricky points. This is realky a top guide. On the top we waited on the sunrise & at 7 am we started descent. The descent was tricky for me because i've got scared after slipping 2 times. The guide assisted me on every point and was really looking after me! In rainy weather it can be slippery. At noon we arrived at the starting point. I would recommend this organisation!!

Great company to book with and a fantastic guide
Had a great experience it was a 100/10 from the moment Komang picked me up to the moment he dropped me back off to my hotel. Everything was well organised, communicated and I was able to hire gear with them which was a big bonus. Big shout out to my guide Krisna who without him I probably wouldn’t have made it haha. He was very knowledgeable about the mountain and the surrounding areas, had really good English, answered all my questions along the way and ensured our safety was a top priority, and helped me out when I needed it. He was a really fantastic guide and person!
