    Highly enjoyable tour

I'd been to the Yarra Valley before so was pleased to find a tour of the Mornington Peninsula, with a smaller group. After a stop at Arthur's Seat for the view, our entertaining driver and host Ian took us to 4 wineries which were all very good, the last of which having a Chocolaterie on site to finish the day nicely. We never felt rushed and it was a very pleasant and relaxing day. Cheers.

    Winery Tour

Was a lovely day out - pick up was hassle-free and well on time with the commuter bus ride to the Peninsula was comfortable. The 4 winery visits were good, all with great ambience and 3 were informative with generous wine tasting opportunities. Our only hiccup was the lunch/wine served at Green Olive Winery. We were shown a tasting platter menu to choose from, along with the choice of either a 'white wine', a 'red wine' or a 'mixed wine' paddle, prior to arriving, to ensure our lunch was ready and waiting for us. The only issue here was that the food menu we were given to select from was not what was served upon arrival. When queried as to why we did not receive what had been ordered, the winery staff member politely advised quite a few of us, 'yeah, the menu has changed - we use to serve that, but not any more'. We passed this info on to our driver and felt for him, as he was not aware that the menu he had been provided to show the tour group to select from by the Winery, hadn't been updated to reflect what was available. The wine paddle served with the lunch came out with a laminated notice giving info on the various wines. No personal interaction, so felt this winery to be a tad lacking, compared to the other 3 visited on our tour. Would recommend the day out, but lunch was disappointing compared to what was expected / anticipated and feel that this winery let the day down.

Great day - wonderful wine - lacked a proper tour guide

This was an excellent day at a great location with wonderful wine , food and people to meet . It was all very efficient and an easy day . The only feedback I will give is that I know that other groups had tour guides who lead the day , bringing people together , giving information about the area and the wine and generally entertaining the group. We had a really nice guy but his only role was to drive us from A to B . We could have arranged an Uber driver to do that for a considerably cheaper price . No criticism of the driver who was charming and efficient - I think we just got a bit unlucky compared to other tour groups who benefited from genuinely passionate wine tour guides who bought that magic to the day - overall a great day .

    Disappointing

Disappointed as everyone on the bus paid $179 and l was charged $238 Also thought l was getting a two course lunch ended up with a platter. The Mornington peninsula company reimbursed me $35 but l was still out of pocket.

Response from the operator: Dear Jessica, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience you experienced during your recent tour with us. Regarding the pricing discrepancy, the rate you paid through Viator/Trip Advisor includes additional benefits such as flexibility and security, which are exclusive to bookings made through their platform. In an effort to address your concerns/confusion promptly, we reimbursed you the agreed $35 as a gesture of goodwill. We strive to provide exceptional customer service and regret that this experience fell short of your expectations. Following our initial compensation, we understand there was an attempt to seek further reimbursement through Viator/Trip Advisor, which unfortunately we were unable to accommodate. We hope you understand our position on this matter. Once again, we apologize for any disappointment caused and appreciate your understanding. Should you have any further questions or would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Warm regards,

    Chillout w Entertaining Ian

Chillout Travel provided us with an unforgettable day exploring four incredible wineries on the Mornington Peninsula—Port Phillip Estate, Green Olive, Pier 10, and Mont Rouge. Our driver, Ian, truly made the experience special. Not only was he professional, knowledgeable and easygoing, but he also entertained us along the way with fascinating stories from his time working in New York City, including hilarious run-ins with celebrities that had everyone laughing. The standout moment of the day was the delicious organic lunch at The Green Olive—fresh, flavourful, and beautifully paired with local wines. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Ian behind the wheel- he went above and beyond. Thanks again, from Kristy, Emma, Kellie & Nicole

Mornington Peninsula Winery Tour - Lunch Included: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Melbourne.

How much does Mornington Peninsula Winery Tour - Lunch Included cost?

    +

Prices start at $174 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Melbourne usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mornington Peninsula Winery Tour - Lunch Included take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Melbourne is not rushed.

Is Mornington Peninsula Winery Tour - Lunch Included worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Melbourne, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mornington Peninsula Winery Tour - Lunch Included?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mornington Peninsula Winery Tour - Lunch Included suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mornington Peninsula Winery Tour - Lunch Included?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Melbourne can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Melbourne and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mornington Peninsula Winery Tour - Lunch Included start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Melbourne within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Melbourne?

    +

On Outty we rank every Melbourne experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Melbourne: Yarra Valley Wine, Gin, Whisky and Chocolate Tour, Yarra Valley Wine Tour w Exclusive Gin, Cider & Chocolate Tasting, Yarra Valley Wine Tour from Melbourne - Choc, Gin & Good Times. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Melbourne?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Melbourne?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
