    About this experience

Time to hit the highway with our small group (4 - 11 guests) and make our way to the idyllic Mornington Peninsula. Our first stop is the summit of Arthur’s Seat where we’ll share panoramic ocean views and a bite of morning tea. This is just a taste of things to come. We move onto Bushrangers Bay for a 5km return hike featuring unreal coastal scenery, rocky bays, wild oceans and one picturesque lighthouse. Spot local kangaroos and listen to the songs of native birds as we wander along the undulating path. After we return from our first hike, we will head to Cape Schanck for a smaller walk in the lighthouse precinct. To refuel, we stop at one of Mornington Peninsula's award winning cafes (and we can see why) Our final stop, Peninsula Hot Springs which is an award-winning natural hot springs and outdoor day spa destination. A Relaxing Escape from the city

Had a fantastic day in Mornington today! The hiking trail was beautiful with delightful sea view, and the hot spring afterward were the perfect way to relax. Our guides(Aaron and Andrew) were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience enjoyable. The pace was perfectly chill - not rushed at all, giving us plenty of time to take in the scenery and enjoy each moment. They were attentive to everyone's needs and created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the day. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a perfect blend of nature and relaxation!

    Great hike and hot springs!

The guide was engaging and fun! We met the tour guide in the morning and she greeted us with a morning coffee or tea, and a light snack of protein ball or banana. Before we hop on to the car for an hour drive to the mornington peninsula. We had about a 7 click hike along the coast. Took many breaks in between. The guide would check on us frequently to see if we are fine. Safety is their top priority. We had a nice walk. Note that there are quite a flight of stairs to climb up and down to get to the coastal beach. After which, we head over for lunch. Lunch was at a cafe. Food was good. They provide breakfast sets and brunches, coffee, tea and alcohol too. After lunch, we head directly to the Hot springs. It was pretty packed as it is a weekend. Overall, it was a really good experience! Would go for the hot springs again!

    Great day on the ninch

A really great day trip! The combo hike and spa is perfect as you can relax after the morning’s exercise. It was a perfect group size - small enough to get to know each other. Talaska was our amazing guide, she was super knowledgable about the local area and animals. We saw some kangaroos and a couple of blue tongue lizards! Overall an amazing day and really convenient to be picked up from Melbourne.

Cozy and Fun Mornington Peninsula Tour!

The tour was a good pace and thanks to the small group we had ample time at each spot to enjoy the sights. Our guide, Marcus shared with us little historical facts at each stop which really enhanced the experience and ensured we had snacks and engaging conversations throughout the day. Will highly recommend this tour for solo travellers like myself who want to explore outside of Melbourne and be able to make friends!

Mornington Peninsula Hike and Hot Springs Day Tour - Small Group: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Melbourne.

How much does Mornington Peninsula Hike and Hot Springs Day Tour - Small Group cost?

    +

Prices start at $279 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Melbourne usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mornington Peninsula Hike and Hot Springs Day Tour - Small Group take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Melbourne is not rushed.

Is Mornington Peninsula Hike and Hot Springs Day Tour - Small Group worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Melbourne, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mornington Peninsula Hike and Hot Springs Day Tour - Small Group?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mornington Peninsula Hike and Hot Springs Day Tour - Small Group suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mornington Peninsula Hike and Hot Springs Day Tour - Small Group?

    +

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Melbourne can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Melbourne and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mornington Peninsula Hike and Hot Springs Day Tour - Small Group start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Melbourne within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Melbourne?

    +

On Outty we rank every Melbourne experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Melbourne: Yarra Valley Wine, Gin, Whisky and Chocolate Tour, Yarra Valley Wine Tour w Exclusive Gin, Cider & Chocolate Tasting, Yarra Valley Wine Tour from Melbourne - Choc, Gin & Good Times. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Melbourne?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Melbourne?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
