About this experience
We are Thai couple growing up from different regions of Thailand and have been cooking for long time. We learned how to cook from our parents such as go to the market to pick up fresh ingredients, using spices & herbs then many tricks & basic cooking skills. When we married, we still cook and share our own food with each other all the time until now. In addition, we sometimes cook food for offering the monk as well. Our class offers you just 8 people per maximum (vegan or vegetarian are very welcome), all recipes are created from our many years of cooking experiences and some are mixed between the 2 cultures too. If you don't know what is your souvenir from Thailand, cooking could be your choice! Come to join us to make an amazing experience together! Cheers, Nok and Aek

Great Thai cooking class
Very nice cooking class with enthousiastic and authentic people! The class started at the market where we got the ingredients for our dishes. Everything was explained really well and after every round we got to try our own cooking. It was so much we even took a doggy bag. Overall great experience, would definitely recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Susan for your lovely review and cooking Thai food with us! Kob Kun Krab 🙏 Nok and Aek

Fun and tasty experience
I booked a last minute cooking class with Aromdii Cooking School and I had a great experience. I appreciate my guide, Aek for allowing me to do the class even though I was the only student that day. Aek is lively and engaging, it was very easy to make 5 dishes in one morning. I learned about lots of ingredients used in Thai dishes at the market. I even got to meet his wife and son. I am very excited to make Thai dishes for my family. It was fun and affordable, worth every penny. I recommend Aromdii Cooking School if you are in the Chiang Mai area.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Rebecca for your lovely review and for cooking Thai food with us 🙏🙏😊

Delicious food, cosy kitchen, thoughtful host!
The host was enthusiastic and engaging! The walk through the market was made memorable through taste testing locally made food and dessert. By the end of the day we left the kitchen happy; both spirit and belly. If you're looking to cook multiple dishes in a home environment, Aromdii cooking school is a good 'egg' to pick!

Take This Class!
What a fantastic and fun experience, the chef picked us up from the hotel with a stop at the local market and then took us to his home. Lovely cooking school setting outside which was covered. He was very knowledgeable and walked us through the cooking steps of many dishes which were all delicious. He provided us with all the recipes and we can't wait to try when we get home. Highly recommeded.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Morning Thai cooking class: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Morning Thai cooking class cost?
+
Prices start at $900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Morning Thai cooking class take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Morning Thai cooking class worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 51 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Morning Thai cooking class?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Morning Thai cooking class suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 9. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Morning Thai cooking class?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Morning Thai cooking class start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
