Desert Quad Biking

Whilst the dune bashing & quad bike experience was good, our booking was supposed to also include sand boarding which was not offered. We questioned this and showed our booking confirmation but we were just looked at blankly. The booking was also said to include bottled water, but when we arrived, we were taken to a shop & had to purchase bottled water. There was also the option purchasing a headscarf, but the staff proceeded to put other items of clothing such as jewellery & tunics which we did not want to purchase. We asked for these to be removed & the staff did not seem happy that we did not want to pay for these items. We paid for the head scarfs & water, when we checked what we had been charged, it equated to £63.40. This seems very expensive & felt we were ripped off. The guides who did the transfer/dune bashing & quad biking did not speak very much English so it was hard to communicate. There was also a picture opportunity in the desert where a male approached us with a bird & we felt obliged to have photographs. We were then told we needed to pay, but we thought this was including in the photograph opportunity as part of the package. The man wanted 800AED which is around £160 for photographs taken on our own phone. We refused this as we had no cash, again he was not happy about this. However, he then produced a card machine so felt we had no choice but to pay for the pictures. We did however manage to reduce the price requested for the photographs. Overall, it all felt like a very rushed trip with them wanting more money for everything despite paying for the excursion & it stating it included things we did not get.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and discomfort you experienced during your desert safari. We truly regret that certain aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that in popular tourist destinations such as the desert, there are many local freelancers and independent vendors who approach guests to sell items like headscarves, souvenirs, photographs, refreshments, and other add-ons. These individuals are not part of the official tour operation and do not work under the tour company or us. Unfortunately, we do not have control over their actions, pricing, or sales approach, as they operate independently. Regarding sandboarding and bottled water, we regret that this was not clearly handled on the day, and we will raise this matter with our supplier to ensure better clarity and coordination going forward. We are sorry that the overall experience felt rushed and that you felt pressured for additional payments. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, and it helps us improve communication and set clearer expectations for future guests. Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Thanks!

Morning Desert Safari with Quad biking and Sand Boarding: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubai.

How much does Morning Desert Safari with Quad biking and Sand Boarding cost?

+

Prices start at $300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Morning Desert Safari with Quad biking and Sand Boarding take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubai is not rushed.

Is Morning Desert Safari with Quad biking and Sand Boarding worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Morning Desert Safari with Quad biking and Sand Boarding?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Morning Desert Safari with Quad biking and Sand Boarding suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Morning Desert Safari with Quad biking and Sand Boarding?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubai and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Morning Desert Safari with Quad biking and Sand Boarding start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dubai?

+

On Outty we rank every Dubai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubai Premium Red Dunes Safari, Camels & 5* BBQ at Al Khayma Camp, Dubai: Red Dunes Safari, Quad, Camel, Dune Bash, BBQ & Shows, Dubai Dune Buggy Safari Tour in Red Dunes Options. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dubai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dubai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
