Extremely disappointing and unprofessional handling of a last-minute cancellation
I am extremely disappointed with the way this company handled my booking. My trip was scheduled 8 am on the morning of September 26, yet I received an email at approximately 10:00 PM on September 25 informing me that the trip had been cancelled because the minimum requirement of six passengers had not been met. I completely understand that unforeseen circumstances or insufficient bookings can sometimes result in a cancellation. What I find unacceptable is **how the cancellation was communicated and how little consideration was given to the customer**. The company had my phone number, yet nobody bothered to call or send a WhatsApp message despite cancelling a trip less than 12 hours before departure. Sending a late-night email and expecting the customer to simply deal with the consequences the following morning is not what I would consider responsible customer service. I had made my plans around this booking and was expecting to travel this morning. At such short notice, I should have been offered a genuinely practical alternative. Instead, I was given options for September 29, which was of very little use to me. If there was a possibility of accommodating me on the next available departure, that should have been explored before simply offering a date several days later. What is also concerning is the handling of the payment. The company cancelled the service, yet I am now left having to chase them regarding my own money. I expect the refund to be processed promptly and without unnecessary delay. The issue here is not simply that the trip was cancelled. It is the complete lack of consideration for the customer: last-minute notification, inadequate communication, unsuitable alternatives, and uncertainty regarding the refund. When a company accepts a booking and takes payment, there is a basic expectation that it will communicate responsibly and make a reasonable effort to minimise the inconvenience caused when circumstances change. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. This was a very disappointing experience and, based on the way this situation was handled, I would strongly recommend that the company reconsider its approach to customer communication and cancellation management.

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Moraine Lake and Lake Louise Shuttle Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Banff.
How much does Moraine Lake and Lake Louise Shuttle Experience cost?
+

How long does Moraine Lake and Lake Louise Shuttle Experience take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Banff is not rushed.
Is Moraine Lake and Lake Louise Shuttle Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Banff, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Moraine Lake and Lake Louise Shuttle Experience?
+

Is Moraine Lake and Lake Louise Shuttle Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Moraine Lake and Lake Louise Shuttle Experience?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Banff can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Banff and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Moraine Lake and Lake Louise Shuttle Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Banff within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Banff?
+
On Outty we rank every Banff experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hop-On and Hop-Off Banff Bus, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the Icefields Parkway Full-Day Tour, Lake Louise Emerald Lake Natural Bridge Half Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Banff?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Banff?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
