The Moorea Street Food...
The Moorea Street Food Tour was absolutely fabulous. We had already been on the island 2 days and had driven around looking for food, with little success, other than a grocery store, and hadn’t seen the places we toured. The food was varied, from snacks to cold and hot entrees and dessert. Recommendations were also made for other snacks and restaurants. The owner even made himself available for questions during our stay. A MUST DO activity, of course best early in your stay. Also, I have mobility issues and they were very accommodating and helped find places for me to sit.

Fantastic tour - book early in your stay
This tour is fantastic, and we recommend that you book it at the beginning of your stay in Moorea. You will learn about Moorea culture and food, and you will find many places where you will want to eat again. We returned to at least 3 of the places from the tour, and Heimata, the owner and guide, had good recommendations for sit down dinners. Heimata is a chef and lived in the US, so he understands food, culture and preparation. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Moorea.

A must do tour
It was well worth the price. H was a great tour guide. Because of this tour we were able to save so much money and knew just where to get food

HEIMATA is amazing!
WOW! What a beautiful way to explore moorea! A comfortable bus for 8 people was driven safely by our guide Heimata! We stopped at 7 (!!!) different spots for over a dozen different tastes of local foods! We had SEVERAL food allergies and preferences that were all professionally accommodated! Most places we went had our food ready for us within minutes. More than the food itself, Heimata shared stories of growing up here on the island and the changes he has seen! We look forward to coming back someday to visit him again and maybe eat at his own restaurant should he want to open one!

The tour was worth every...
The tour was worth every penny. We got to taste all the authentic flavors of French Polynesia. The tour guide took us to all hidden food places that no tourist would typically know where to find. We wouldn’t get the opportunity to try all the flavors of French Polynesia without this guide. I highly recommend

Why this scores 85
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Moorea Street Food Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Papeete.
How much does Moorea Street Food Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $148 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Papeete usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Moorea Street Food Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Papeete is not rushed.
Is Moorea Street Food Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 466 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Papeete, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Moorea Street Food Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Moorea Street Food Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Moorea Street Food Tour?
+
Around 163 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Papeete can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Papeete and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Moorea Street Food Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Papeete within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Papeete?
+
On Outty we rank every Papeete experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 5 Hours Tahiti Island Tour - West and East Coast, Moorea 4WD Tour: Magic Mountain, Belvedere, Pineapple Road & More, Moorea 6-Hour Snorkeling and Lunch Shared Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Papeete?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Papeete?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
