Excellent Guide Recommendation for Monserrat
If you want to tour Monserrat with a knowledgeable guide then Adrian should be your choice. He was on time, gave excellent directions when on site plus he is an excellent storyteller on the history of both the area and Monserrat. We had a very pleasant day with Adrian’s help and guidance! Montserrat Magic!
Adrian's Montserrat tour was magical! The weather forecast the day of our tour was for torrential rains just outside Barcelona, and Adrian contacted us with the option to cancel without penalty. That was very kind of him. We really did not want to cancel as we were on a once in a lifetime trip to Spain with my mother, and we were all excited to experience Montserrat. Adrian was a good sport and agreed to take us despite the weather forecast. It was raining cats and dogs on the road, but the rain stopped and the clouds and mist parted just as we arrived at the base of the mountain. We ascended to the monastery complex and were greeted by the most magical and mystical view we could have wished for. The clouds were hugging the mountain, and the mist was drifting like a veil across the rocky spires and medieval structures. We were so glad we didn't cancel. The weather only made the experience and the views that much better. Not to mention there were no crowds! Adrian expertly guided us through the complex, tasting local cheeses and liquors (and purchasing a few!). He pointed out all of the features, sharing the fascinating history of the area, and finished by leaving us to listen to the famous Montserrat boys choir in the magnificent cathedral. We then took the scenic tram down the mountain where Adrain met us for the ride back to Barcelona. It was a very well planned and executed tour thanks to Adrian. We will probably never do group tours again, as private tours such as this one have completely spoiled us! Thank you, Adrian!
