Great views

The handoff from the morning tour to the afternoon tour was poor, you had to find your own taxi or walk 30 minutes

Arthur_G · October 2025

Great day

Amazing sights and history! Thoroughly enjoyed every part of the amazing sights and scenery. It felt rushed at Monserrat if you stopped to take a photo the tour kept moving and you missed an explanation. I know we had to stay on schedule and the guide was great. I probably would booke the two excursions separately next time so I had more time at Monserrat

Response from the operator: Dear Arthur. We’re glad you enjoyed the sights and the guide, and we understand wanting more time at Montserrat for photos. Best Regards from the Quality Department of Amigo Tours – Rodrigo

Split tours not recommended

I would not recommend this particular tour because they company splits the two locations into two separate tours and leaves you on your own for several hours and asks you to show up at the second location on your own. As tourists, we have no idea about how long it takes to get a taxi in the middle of the day in the busy part of town and how traffic would make things super slow so we missed the second tour for Família Sagrada. So we cannot get our money back for the second tour and were unable to see Família Sagrada since tickets were sold out for the following week.

Response from the operator: Dear Frances_W, thank you for your feedback. Our tour format, which includes separate visits to two locations with some independent travel time in between, is designed to offer flexibility and allow guests to explore at their own pace. We understand that navigating busy city traffic can be challenging, especially in unfamiliar places, and we regret any inconvenience this caused. We always recommend planning extra time for transfers and provide guidance to help guests manage the schedule. We appreciate your comments and will review how we communicate these details to ensure a smoother experience for future travelers. Best regards from Amigo Tours Rodrigo

Montserrat Monastery and Sagrada Familia Tour with Liquor Tasting: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Montserrat Monastery and Sagrada Familia Tour with Liquor Tasting cost?

+

Prices start at $116 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Montserrat Monastery and Sagrada Familia Tour with Liquor Tasting take?

+

Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Montserrat Monastery and Sagrada Familia Tour with Liquor Tasting worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Montserrat Monastery and Sagrada Familia Tour with Liquor Tasting?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Montserrat Monastery and Sagrada Familia Tour with Liquor Tasting suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Montserrat Monastery and Sagrada Familia Tour with Liquor Tasting?

+

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Montserrat Monastery and Sagrada Familia Tour with Liquor Tasting start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
