Food tour with Rob Michelin Trained Chef
The food tour with Chef Rob was excellent, I would highly recommend. We always do food tours and this tour more than lived up to our expectations. We visited the Jean Talon market, this was so interesting seeing it through Chef Rob’s eyes. Especially loved how Chef Rob, embraced all the different nationalities in Montreal and explained how this has influenced food culture in the city. Chef Robs passion for food and the interwoven cultures of Montreal, but his knowledge is extensive and generously shared with anyone seeking to learn. Fascinating tour thanks Chef Rob Alan & Helen Henderson
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Alan and Helen, for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that your food tour with Chef Rob exceeded your expectations. It sounds like you truly enjoyed seeing Jean Talon Market through his eyes and learning about the many cultures that have shaped Montreal’s food scene. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Chef Rob. His passion for food, culture, and sharing his knowledge is what makes these experiences so special. We’re delighted that he was able to make your time in Montreal so fascinating and memorable! We hope to welcome you on another culinary adventure in the future.

Great tastes of Montreal
Rob did a great job with our family of four on Dec. 26th, making arrangements given the market was closed. He showed us other areas of Montreal and then shared with us delicious food and wine which were all fabulous. We appreciate his hard work and recommend the tour highly.

Not an expected food tour listed as a tour with a Michelin Star Chef
Catherine was an amazing tour guide. These things were not included, but were listed on the website as included in the tour: *Montreal Food Tour with a Michelin Star-Trained Chef Robert *Sampling of 5-6 types of local foods- Sample Menu: Sampling of 1-2 drinks and 6-7 local foods that may include: SE Asian, Quebec, North African and Roman street food and specialties *Hotel pickup and drop-off
Response from the operator: Dear Lori, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. Regarding hotel pickup and drop-off, these are listed as exclusions on our Viator listing, and we apologize if this caused any confusion. We will review this to see if the wording can be adjusted to avoid misunderstandings in the future. Additionally, while the tour description mentions Chef Robert, we include a note in the additional information section stating that, on days when Robert is unavailable, a guide personally trained by him — such as Catherine — will lead the experience. We’re glad to hear that you found Catherine to be an amazing guide. It also appears that the included food samples matched what was outlined in the listing. However, we regret if any details were unclear or caused disappointment. Your feedback helps us improve, and we’re committed to providing exceptional experiences. If you’d like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly at reservations@travelingspoon.com Warm regards, Aashi

Very special experience
Excellent and unique fine dining. Special event. Great fun. We were treated a great many course dinner in a private home . Also meals were paired with many wine beers and teas as I preferred. He also recommended other places to eat which were also great places

Amazing food tour in Montreal!
Chef Rob is a delight. The tour exceeded my expectations with history, culture, and detailed insights into the food scene of Montreal and Quebec. We weaved in and out of stalls and shops as he picked up items that we shared at tables along the way. I highly recommend the wine add-on as it paired perfectly with the arrays of local cheeses he picked. I also highly recommend his Supper Club, which I thoroughly enjoyed as well. Even as a solo traveler, I felt welcomed into the various groups and met some new friends. Chef Rob even directed me to some of his favorite restaurants, each being innovative, inventive, and not corporate. I loved the experience!!

Montreal Street Food + Market Tour with Michelin-Trained Chef: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montreal.
How much does Montreal Street Food + Market Tour with Michelin-Trained Chef cost?
+
Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montreal usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Montreal Street Food + Market Tour with Michelin-Trained Chef take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montreal is not rushed.
Is Montreal Street Food + Market Tour with Michelin-Trained Chef worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 44 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Montreal, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Montreal Street Food + Market Tour with Michelin-Trained Chef?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Montreal Street Food + Market Tour with Michelin-Trained Chef suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Montreal Street Food + Market Tour with Michelin-Trained Chef?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montreal can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montreal and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Montreal Street Food + Market Tour with Michelin-Trained Chef start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montreal within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Montreal?
+
On Outty we rank every Montreal experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Essential 101 Non-Touristy Walking Tour by Spade & Palacio, Old Montreal Walking Tour | Small Group (Max 10) | by MTL Detours, The Full-Day small-group comprehensive tour of Montreal. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Montreal?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Montreal?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
