Montreal Biosphere just about worth the price of admission
Overall, our experience of the Biosphere seemed incomplete and perhaps the lowest value for the price of admission. Only one of the two exhibit floors was open for our visit. The exhibits were of good quality, informative, and grabbed one’s attention if you were aged 6 to 96. The stair climb to the 4th level viewing deck was worth the effort and we were rewarded with beautiful views of the island, the St. Lawrence river, Montreal skyscrapers, and more. The 5th level viewing deck was closed. We were glad to have visited Biosphere but unless both floors are open, I would suggest skipping it in lieu of the other four espace pour la vie Montreal sites.
Response from the operator: This fake review needs to be removed. It was not written by anyone who booked a photo tour with me.

Alain was prompt,...
Alain was prompt, thoughtful and informative. Alain also shared great photo op moments and took us to places we would not have found on our own.
Response from the operator: Thanks for the great review! It was a pleasure meeting & showing you some of my favorite Montreal locations.

Excellent Photo Tour
My morning with Alain was fantastic. I was picked up at my hotel and driven to special photo locations and captured some great photos. I had talked to Alain before the tour and explained I wanted some instruction and help with my camera settings in manual mode. Alain is an excellent teacher. After my morning of photography I felt more confident in my ability to properly adjust my camera settings to make the most of each photo opportunity. We also made a stop at Montreal"s famous bagel shop and I was treated to a hot fresh bagel. I highly recommend this experience for anyone wanting to see some of Montreal"s top photography spots with a pro by your side to offer advice and fresh ideas.
Response from the operator: Thanks for your great review Marnie! Much appreciated. It was a pleasure meeting & showing you some of my favorite spots in Montreal.

A Rewarding Experience
I recommend Alain to anyone who would like to do a photo tour. He took us around Montreal, Canada for two half-days and we were incredibly fortunate to have hired him. We learned that Alain is not only a professional photographer but that he also used to work as a location manager for big feature films and TV shows. He knows all the best locations in Montreal and the best time of day to shoot them! We now have a fantastic photo portfolio of the city, tons of historical information and an intimate feeling for the culture of the city. Alain also taught me many things that have improved my shooting. From now on, I'll be a better photographer. He's a super nice man; patient, understanding and attentive to our needs. Alain Dahan is the best! Five stars isn't enough because he already has dozens of real Stars in his professional entourage. Merci beaucoup Alain!
Response from the operator: Thanks for your great review Eric! It was a pleasure meeting & showing you some of my favourite Montreal locations. Good times! :)

Amazing Montreal Tour
I had an awesome time on a half-day tour around Montreal with Alain! He took us to some incredible spots like the Biosphere and Mount Royal, giving us cool insights about each place. Plus, we got to try some of the best bagels in town—so good! Alain also shared some really interesting stories about Montreal’s film scene, which made the tour even more special. And if you love photography, his tips for getting the perfect shot were super helpful! Overall, Alain made the whole experience fun and relaxed. If you’re looking for a laid-back and informative tour, he’s your guy!
Response from the operator: Thanks for your great review Taylor! And your drone shots were awesome!!

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Montreal Private Photo Tours with Pro Photographer: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montreal.
How much does Montreal Private Photo Tours with Pro Photographer cost?
+
Prices start at $545 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montreal usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Montreal Private Photo Tours with Pro Photographer take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montreal is not rushed.
Is Montreal Private Photo Tours with Pro Photographer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montreal, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Montreal Private Photo Tours with Pro Photographer?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Montreal Private Photo Tours with Pro Photographer suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Montreal Private Photo Tours with Pro Photographer?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montreal can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montreal and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Montreal Private Photo Tours with Pro Photographer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montreal within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Montreal?
+
On Outty we rank every Montreal experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Essential 101 Non-Touristy Walking Tour by Spade & Palacio, Old Montreal Walking Tour | Small Group (Max 10) | by MTL Detours, The Full-Day small-group comprehensive tour of Montreal. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Montreal?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Montreal?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
