    Disappointed

Please check your tickets, we arrived at Mountjuic looking very excited, only to be denied entry as they no longer take tickets from this company, very let down and the number we had just rang out.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about the inconvenience and disappointment you experienced. We understand how frustrating it must have been to arrive at the attraction and encounter this issue. Please accept our sincere apologies. We take reports like this very seriously and have already forwarded your case to our supplier for a full investigation to understand what happened. Your comments have also been shared with our internal team so we can help prevent similar situations in the future. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and regret that your experience did not meet the standard we strive to provide. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Not worth the cost

Really overpriced for what it was. Yes, the views over the city are good but really not that much better than you can get from going to the base station on the funicular that is part of the Metro. Save yourselves the 19 euro pp (plus booking fee!) cost and use the saving back in the city on some great food and drink!

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. Ticket prices are determined by the selected product and may include service and booking fees in addition to the attraction's admission price. We understand that value can vary from one visitor to another, and we regret that you did not feel the experience justified the cost. We truly appreciate your comments, as they help us review our product information and improve transparency for future travelers. Thank you for choosing our service, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.

    Scam Tickets

We arrived at the cable cars and were informed that these tickets were 1. Not legitimate and 2. Extremely overpriced. They informed us we had been scammed. As a courtesy, they allowed us on the cable cars without paying again. Purchase tickets directly there. The line isn’t long.

Response from the operator: We are deeply sorry to hear about your experience and understand how concerning and embarrassing this situation must have been. Please be assured that we take allegations regarding ticket validity very seriously. Our tickets are supplied through authorized partners, and we will immediately investigate this matter with our supplier and the cable car operator to understand why you were given this information. Pricing on third-party platforms may include booking, processing, and service fees, which can make the total higher than purchasing directly at the attraction. However, the tickets should still be valid and accepted without any difficulty. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience caused. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as your feedback will help us prevent similar situations in the future.

1 day in Barcelona and this was a waste of time.

We were not able to take the cable cars as they were delayed another hour and the line up was very long, we had booked the Sagrada de familia guided tour after the cable cars, so we had to cancel our cable cars so we don’t miss out on our next tour. I was provided a slip to get a refund for my tickets.

Response from the operator: We are very sorry that the cable car delay and long queue affected your plans and forced you to cancel in order to avoid missing your Sagrada Família guided tour. As you were provided with a refund slip by the venue, please contact our customer support team with your booking reference and a clear copy of the slip so the refund request can be reviewed and processed accordingly. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment caused.

Montjuïc Cable Car Roundtrip Tickets: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Montjuïc Cable Car Roundtrip Tickets cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Montjuïc Cable Car Roundtrip Tickets take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Montjuïc Cable Car Roundtrip Tickets worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 35 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2.9/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Montjuïc Cable Car Roundtrip Tickets?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Montjuïc Cable Car Roundtrip Tickets suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Montjuïc Cable Car Roundtrip Tickets?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Montjuïc Cable Car Roundtrip Tickets start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

    +

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

    +

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
