It is not clearly specified that you have to pay admission to the park to seniors
We bought tickets for the tour and yes, it is true that it appears that it does not include admission to Selvatura Park, but it is true that what appears is that you can not go to other activities of the park. When the day arrives, you are asked for an extra payment of $55 per person to access the park and to take the tour

Tour guide never showed up
Title sums it up. Tour guide never showed up, but fortunately we found another tour guide at the park gate and had a great time.
Response from the operator: We’re sorry to hear about your experience and would like to clarify the situation respectfully. At your request, we agreed to reschedule the tour. Unfortunately, you were unable to attend because you were feeling unwell. Despite the circumstances, we chose to provide a full refund as a gesture of goodwill. We understand that unexpected situations can be frustrating, but we kindly ask that reviews accurately reflect what occurred. We always strive to provide professional service, flexibility, and fair solutions to our guests. We wish you a pleasant journey and hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Costa Rica. Pura Vida! 🇨🇷.

Did not see much as expected
We have somewhat a big group with 18 people. The tour provided two tour guides. The main one was not fully recovered from a road accident and walking with pain. Wish he stay rest until fully recovered. This impacted our mood and the result of the tour. The second one spoke limited English.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience and for expressing concern for our guide’s recovery. We sincerely apologize that his physical condition affected the atmosphere and overall quality of your tour. Although he attended because he did not want to disappoint your group, we recognize that he should have prioritized his recovery until he was fully able to provide the energetic and engaging experience our guests deserve. We also regret that the second guide’s English proficiency did not meet your group’s communication needs. For a group of 18 participants, both guides should have been able to provide clear explanations, attentive service, and a consistently professional experience. Your comments have prompted us to review our guide-assignment procedures, including fitness to work, language proficiency, and staffing standards for larger groups. We truly appreciate your honest feedback and apologize that this tour fell short of expectations. We hope to have another opportunity to provide you with the high-quality nature experience for which we strive.

Cloud Forest Dreams Come True
Olher was an amazing tour guide! He gave us information not only about the wildlife in Monteverde but its history as well. He spoke to us about the small plants growing in the forest and knew most species of birds and plants. He had a fun charismatic energy and I would recommend him as a tour guide for anyone looking to learn and see the wildlife through a true Costa Rican lens!

Only fair
The guide smelled like cigarettes so it was difficult to smell the various fruit and plants he was showing us. His English was only fair. The pace was too slow with much conversation unrelated to the tour. We did have a partial view of the quetzal, which was amazing! And the guide had much knowledge, but it was difficult to understand.
Response from the operator: gracias

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Monteverde Cloud Forest Hanging Bridges with a Naturalist Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Monteverde.
How much does Monteverde Cloud Forest Hanging Bridges with a Naturalist Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $41 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Monteverde usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Monteverde Cloud Forest Hanging Bridges with a Naturalist Guide take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Monteverde is not rushed.
Is Monteverde Cloud Forest Hanging Bridges with a Naturalist Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Monteverde, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Monteverde Cloud Forest Hanging Bridges with a Naturalist Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Monteverde Cloud Forest Hanging Bridges with a Naturalist Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Monteverde Cloud Forest Hanging Bridges with a Naturalist Guide?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Monteverde can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Monteverde and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Monteverde Cloud Forest Hanging Bridges with a Naturalist Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Monteverde within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Monteverde?
+
On Outty we rank every Monteverde experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Original Canopy Tour Monteverde, Zipline, Monteverde Cloud Forest Guided Tour with Expert Naturalist, Monteverde Cloud Forest Guided Nature Walk with Expert Naturalist. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Monteverde?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Monteverde?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
