Bus and boat tour
Excellent way to view the city on bus and boat. Taking it for 48 hours allows you to do the bus a number of times per day. You don’t feel rushed.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your positive feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed having the flexibility of a 48-hour ticket. Having two days gives you plenty of time to explore Helsinki at your own pace, hop on and off as you like, and enjoy the sights without feeling rushed. We hope to welcome you back again!

Don't bother
It's not worth the money. Buses are not as frequent as they say. I'd say every 30 mins. One of the sights is a Ferry terminal where you sit and wait for lots of cruise ship passengers to get on. The major attractions are all within 10 min walk from each other. The rest are easily accessible by tram which is capped at about €5 a day. Some staff are really very rude.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify a few points, as several statements in this review do not accurately reflect our service. Our published frequency is 30–40 minutes, so a 30-minute interval is actually within the advertised schedule. Furthermore, when cruise ships are in Helsinki, we specifically operate additional departures and extra buses to accommodate the increased number of visitors. In other words, cruise-ship days can actually provide more capacity and more frequent departures than the regular schedule. The ferry terminal is one of our designated sightseeing stops, and it is naturally busy when cruise ships are in port. Passengers who have purchased tickets are entitled to use the service, including cruise passengers. This is a shared sightseeing service, not a private tour, so we find it rather surprising to see other passengers boarding at a designated stop described as a problem. We would also like to correct the comparison with public transport. The current HSL one-day AB ticket is €10.60, not approximately €5. And while several attractions in central Helsinki are relatively close together, they are not all within a 10-minute walk. For example, only walking from Senate Square to the Sibelius Monument is roughly 45 minutes and there is no tram connection near Sibelius Park. A hop-on hop-off tour is, of course, not the only way to see Helsinki. Guests can choose to walk, use public transport or take a sightseeing bus depending on what suits them. Our service is designed for visitors who value the convenience of being taken directly between the city's major sights, with the flexibility to hop on and off without having to navigate public transport options themselves. We are sorry to hear that you found some of our staff rude. We take that feedback seriously and would be happy to investigate if you provide the date, location and any details that would allow us to identify the situation.

Money Saver: Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Sightseeing Boat Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Helsinki.
How much does Money Saver: Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Sightseeing Boat Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $57 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Helsinki usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Money Saver: Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Sightseeing Boat Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Helsinki is not rushed.
Is Money Saver: Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Sightseeing Boat Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 58 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Helsinki, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Money Saver: Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Sightseeing Boat Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Money Saver: Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Sightseeing Boat Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Money Saver: Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Sightseeing Boat Tour?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Helsinki can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Helsinki and add a light layer if any part of the 1.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Money Saver: Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Sightseeing Boat Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Helsinki within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Helsinki?
+
On Outty we rank every Helsinki experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include National Park Hike & Finnish Smoke Sauna Experience with Campfire Lunch, A Finntastic Walking Tour with a Local Guide, Helsinki walking tour with a city planner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Helsinki?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Helsinki?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
