Great experience
Really good trip, great communication with the guide and the tour company. Everyone should do this tour! Good for couples as well as families with younger children (so long as they’re able to walk).

Fantastic Experience
The tour is much better than expected thanks to Top being such a wonderful guide. First you visit an Instagram picture point with a good cafe (Cypress Lanes) to start. Top was always willing and took fantastic pictures. He will also take some with his phone and provide them to you later. Had the almond croissant and a cappuccino. The coffee was good. Second place has a cafe where you will eat lunch, a hillside garden, and most importantly elephants you can interact with. You are able to purchase a basket of bananas and bamboo for a small amount to feed the elephants. The elephants very much want the food and will definitely interact with you. I was able to stand with one and pet them a bit. Please do wash your hands after. The third stop at Mon Jam is about an hour away, but is the end destination and definitely worth the trip. You get to walk through and buy from a local Hmong market, see or ride a Hmong hillside cart, and go through multiple beautiful mountain side gardens. There are very many picture taking points which Top will make sure you are aware of and take pictures for you. The view is fantastic especially from the third Skywalk garden which also has sheep you can feed. Overall a fantastic experience, again thanks to the guide Top, that was far above expectations. He will give you insight into the locals and point out a few sights along the drive. It's a quick trip, but actually didn't feel too rushed and got you to the important points.

Is Mon Jam, Elefin Café, and Cypress Lane Chiang Mai worth it?
+

That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Mon Jam, Elefin Café, and Cypress Lane Chiang Mai suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Mon Jam, Elefin Café, and Cypress Lane Chiang Mai?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
