    Breathtaking Experience with the Elephants

This experience was incredible! They picked us up on time. We chose an early booking, which I think was the best. It was empty and did not feel rushed at all. We got to meet 2 large elephants and a baby elephant. We were able to feed them and walk with them. The guide made us feel safe and we're very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this up close and personal experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 🐘 We’re delighted to hear that you had such a breathtaking experience with the elephants. Early morning visits are indeed a great choice, as they allow for a more relaxed and personal interaction with these magnificent animals. It’s fantastic that you were able to spend time feeding and walking with both the adult elephants and the baby—those moments are truly special. We’re also glad our team made you feel safe and shared their knowledge throughout the experience. Your kind recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back again for another unforgettable encounter in the future!

    Fun Elephant Encounter

Walk with elephants, pet elephants and feed elephants. My wife and I loved it. We also had an encounter with a couple warthogs that followed. They may have been looking for the food pellets the elephants dropped.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted to hear that you and your wife loved your time with the elephants. Walking, feeding, and spending time up close with these gentle giants is always a special experience, and it’s great that you were able to enjoy those moments together. It sounds like the warthogs also decided to join in on the adventure—those little surprise encounters often make the experience even more memorable! They do tend to follow along hoping to find a few leftover pellets from the elephants. We truly appreciate your review and hope to welcome you both back again for another wonderful wildlife experience in the future.

    Fun elephant encounter

Nice getting up close to the elephants. Got to feed them, touch them, and learn about them. They seem to be healthy and well cared for. The staff & trainers were very friendly and knowledgeable. We went in winter (July) so it wasn’t warm enough for them to get in the water or mud to play for us, which was disappointing, but it probably meant we had more time with them. The staff took lots of photos of us with our cameras and a video with theirs, which they sell (we didn’t buy it, but it is available). You can add on an experience with lions or cheetahs or even riding the elephants if you want. It was about an hour long, and they picked us up and dropped us back at our hotel.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed getting up close to our elephants and appreciated the opportunity to feed, touch, and learn about them. It's wonderful to know that our staff and trainers made a positive impression with their friendliness and expertise. We understand your disappointment about the elephants not playing in the water or mud due to the winter weather, but we're glad that this allowed for more interaction time. It's great to hear that you found the photo and video opportunities helpful, even if you didn't purchase the video. Thank you for mentioning the additional experiences we offer and the convenience of our hotel pickup and drop-off service. We hope to welcome you back for another visit, perhaps during warmer weather, so you can see the elephants at play!

Moments with Elephants: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Victoria Falls.

How much does Moments with Elephants cost?

    +

Prices start at $240 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Victoria Falls usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Moments with Elephants take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Victoria Falls is not rushed.

Is Moments with Elephants worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Victoria Falls, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Moments with Elephants?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Moments with Elephants suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Moments with Elephants?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Victoria Falls can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Victoria Falls and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Moments with Elephants start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Victoria Falls within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Victoria Falls?

    +

On Outty we rank every Victoria Falls experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Tour of the Falls (Zimbabwe side), Zambezi River Class IV-V White-Water Rafting from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe & Zambia: Guided Tour of the Falls from Both Sides. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Victoria Falls?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Victoria Falls?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Moments with Elephants?

    +

Included: Private transportation; and Bottled water. Not included: All Fees and Taxes. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does Moments with Elephants include hotel pickup?

What languages is Moments with Elephants offered in?

    +

It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Moments with Elephants?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
