This park is an excellent starting point for a stroll along the seawall, either north or south, enjoying the views, culture, and relaxed atmosphere. Inaugurated in 1953 in honor of Air Ensign Alfredo Salazar Southwell, the park features a 3m-high pink travertine marble sculpture of a condor by sculptor Lajos D'Ebneth. For decades, it hosted recitals, popular music (there was even a bandshell), and scenes in plays by Mario Vargas Llosa and Julio Ramón Ribeyro. Vargas Llosa evoked it this way: "The beauty of the park... was its intimacy, its cleanliness, the intense green... small enclaves of solitude." Nearby is the Larcomar Shopping Center, built in 1998 on the former site of Salazar Park. It has four floors, more than 114 stores, and an architecture that seems to float above the cliff. El Parque del Amor
Located atop the Malecón Cisneros cliff, with a privileged view of the Pacific Ocean, this park is one of Lima's most iconic and romantic spots. Huaca Pucllana
