Tour too long and just saw outside of buidling - for price not worth it.
This was the last day of our 18 day European tour. We had walked 2.5-4 miles for last 16 days and were very tired. Several factors with tour, this was WW2 liberation day from Germany, many people off work, we originally scheduled Last Supper tour but it was closed this week. What we thought we booked - going into Duomo and other churches etc didn't happen. The tour guide we had Picca was well versed in Milan. He had been tour guide for many years and knew lots of history, buidling facts, design history and assorted minutia. We went in the Arcade and that was only buidling. Beautiful but really had wanted to see inside of Duomo and other historic buildings. I was very tired and had a leg injury which walking and steps weren't kind. After 3 hrs (4 hr tour) we wanted to just get to hotel and get ready for flight next day. Instead we were dragged to places we didn't care to see nor were they neither important or of interest. We were going to try to get back to hotel ourself without guide, but we just didn't know where we were. We explained to City Unscripted that we weren't happy with the tour and didn't blame tour guide because we may have been at fault because our expectation didn't match tour or the May 25th celebration precluded getting tickets to see some sights. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend spending 4 hrs just looking at buildings. Please note: during our Italian trip we had some really good tours but had 2 stinkers and 1 - no show. City Unscripted stated they would refund 30% back, but we haven't seen that from our travel company Compass Travel or them.

Excellent overview of Milan!
Our walking tour of Milan with Francesca was fantastic! Francesca was a true local from Milan and knew her city well, which was much appreciated. She showed us many of Milan’s highlights and gave lots of history and interesting information. Additionally, Francesca reached out ahead of time to touch base and was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp with any additional details before the tour. Highly recommend!

Just what we were hoping for!
Salvatore was a terrific guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared interesting insights throughout our walking tour. He even told us where to stand so he could take great pics of us with the perfect background. You will be very happy if you select this tour!

Great start to our adventure in Milan!
Great tour by Salvatore, who spoke very good English. He gave us a great history lesson about the city, the "must see" sights, and just as important the contrast between the old Milan and the new. Great lessons on how to use the underground subway, which is a fantastic system. Not going to lie, our first night in Milan was a bit overwhelming - it's a huge city. Salvatore gave us the lay of the land, made us comfortable to continue exploring on our own and quickly made us glad we chose Milan as a destination. Always good to get a guide that you'd think you'd be friends with if you lived in the city!

Why this scores 85
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Milan Highlights and Hidden Gems Private Guided Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.
How much does Milan Highlights and Hidden Gems Private Guided Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $61 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Milan Highlights and Hidden Gems Private Guided Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.
Is Milan Highlights and Hidden Gems Private Guided Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 304 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Milan Highlights and Hidden Gems Private Guided Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Milan Highlights and Hidden Gems Private Guided Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Milan Highlights and Hidden Gems Private Guided Walking Tour?
+
Around 106 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Milan Highlights and Hidden Gems Private Guided Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milan?
+
On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Authentic Pasta & Tiramisu Cooking Class in Milan, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
