Wonderful tour. Highly recommended.
Walking tours are usually not very child friendly. But this was fantastic. Firstly it was stroller accessible which was great as we had a 5 year old who tire easily over the course of the 3hrs+ tour. Secondly our tour guide Francesca was just lovely. She is patient and interacts well with children which is a nice change from tours which tended to be more adult centric. Francesca was very knowledgeable and you can see her passion as she explains. Finally we loved sforza castle and the duomo. So much history and just so beautiful. This was a really wonderful tour.

Amazing guide and tour...!!
Chiara was the name of our tour guide...Milan is a wonderful city...both of them were amazing...!! Milan is one the great Italian cities of all times, it has everything. For people like me who are history lovers, Milan is a jewel. So much has happened there that affects the world even today...like the legacy of Leonardo da Vinci who lived there under the auspices of the legendary Ludovico Sforza, and the famous "Last Supper" painting. Or the Duomo di Milano Cathedral, magnificent example of the Italian Gothic style, full of incredible treasures... Chiara --our guide-- made the half day tour feel short...she was funny, full of energy and very knowledgable...a very memorable experience...!!

So disappointed ..
You cancelled on us via email as we were walking to the pick-up point - the day of this scheduled tour I'm waiting for a refund from you - and disappointed in your LATE notice of cancellation. You messed up my day in Milan.

canceled but took payment
We paid for the tour then got a call 3 hours before the tour was to start, that they did not have a guide. That was over a week ago they still have not refunded our money.

The best tour ever
We booked a 7 hour Milan walking tour with Expedia and can honestly say that this was one of the best tours ever. Right from the start our exceptional tour guide Charles as he is known, was outstanding. His knowledge of all the sights was well displayed constantly telling our group some amazing facts and tidbits. A slight French / Italian accent but in English made for a remarkable day adding a bit of humour to some interesting facts. . Myself being a bit of a history buff was blown away by his outstanding knowledge and skill in articulating facts. Clearly he is well versed in local Milanese knowledge. My compliments to whoever found Charles. He kept our group tight and never lost anyone in such a busy city. Everything that was in our itinerary were well covered and well worth the cost of the tour! Not to be missed. Signed....a seasoned Canadian traveller.

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Milan City Center Walking Tour with Local Guide & Duomo Cathedral: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.
How much does Milan City Center Walking Tour with Local Guide & Duomo Cathedral cost?
+
Prices start at $314 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Milan City Center Walking Tour with Local Guide & Duomo Cathedral take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.
Is Milan City Center Walking Tour with Local Guide & Duomo Cathedral worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Milan City Center Walking Tour with Local Guide & Duomo Cathedral?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Milan City Center Walking Tour with Local Guide & Duomo Cathedral suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Milan City Center Walking Tour with Local Guide & Duomo Cathedral?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Milan City Center Walking Tour with Local Guide & Duomo Cathedral start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milan?
+
On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Authentic Pasta & Tiramisu Cooking Class in Milan, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
