Bad Customer Experience.
First day in Milan and we were excited to begin a trip of a lifetime, but this was not a great experience. We signed up for a 2:15 tour to experience the rooftop tour and interior of the cathedral in Milan, but when we arrived at the appointed time, the organizer told us that she did not have our party of 3 on her list. After contacting her office, she told us that we had missed the tour and that we had been changed to a tour one hour earlier. When I checked my emails and texts, I found 1 email referring to a “change in schedule” and asked me to confirm receipt of the message, but all subsequent reminders in email and text still referred to the original 2:15 start time. We were offered tickets to the Duomo to tour on our own in compensation but no email ever arrived and public tickets for tours were sold out, we were out a lot of money as there were no refunds available. The was another couple of Americans that this also happened too, so we were not alone in this bad experience. Add to this that it was a very warm day in a city center with little shade one day after arriving from the US. Not a great customer service experience. I do not recommend this tour provider.
Response from the operator: Dear Lancelot Dong, Thank you for your feedback. While we understand your frustration regarding missing your tour, we must firmly clarify the timeline of events, which directly contradicts your statement. The schedule change for your tour was fully communicated, explicitly understood, and formally accepted by you well in advance. Here are the facts based on our official system records: Your Explicit Confirmation: You stated in your review that you only "found" one email. In reality, you did not just receive it; you actively replied to it and confirmed it. On May 26, 2026, at 02:34 PM, you sent us the following message: "Acknowledge the change of start time. Thank you! — Lancelot Dong". By sending this, you formally agreed to the new time slot. Clear Instructions Regarding Automated Emails: In the exact same schedule-change email that you confirmed, we included the following explicit warning in bold text: "Please don’t consider any other email with the old details as they are automatic from the system." We provided this specific instruction precisely to prevent any confusion caused by the automated reminders generated by the booking platform. We expect our guests to honor the time slots they have formally acknowledged and confirmed. It is unfair to label our customer service as "poor" when our team followed all protocols, secured your written confirmation, and explicitly warned you to disregard automated system emails containing the old details. Best regards, Davide

Excellent Experience!
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable to the point that our teenage daughters loved listening and learning the history of the Dumo! He had interesting facts to share, engaged with the group by asking questions, and shared interesting facts.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Milan: Best of Skip-the-Line Duomo Guided Tour Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.
How much does Milan: Best of Skip-the-Line Duomo Guided Tour Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Milan: Best of Skip-the-Line Duomo Guided Tour Experience take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.
Is Milan: Best of Skip-the-Line Duomo Guided Tour Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 116 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Milan: Best of Skip-the-Line Duomo Guided Tour Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Milan: Best of Skip-the-Line Duomo Guided Tour Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Milan: Best of Skip-the-Line Duomo Guided Tour Experience?
+
Around 41 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Milan: Best of Skip-the-Line Duomo Guided Tour Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milan?
+
On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Authentic Pasta & Tiramisu Cooking Class in Milan, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
