Terrible. No guide showed up. Waiting for refund.
This was a terrible experience. No guide ever showed up at the pick up spot. My texts to the tour operator went unanswered. Neither the phone number for the tour operator nor its website was operational. I am still waiting for Viator to refund my payment.
Response from the operator: Mary, It personally pains me to read this review. There’s no valid apology and I am so sorry I do not have the chance to provide you with a tour of my beloved city. Our website and email was in fact down, we are trying to understand why Viator did not provide a direct working phone number so we could have at least addressed the issue when it happened. We did not see your booking on our platform and with the lack of email communication we may have missed any notices about it. Again, I am so sorry for the missed opportunity and I am personally working on making sure they refund you. My direct line is 3057755683 info@tonsoffuntours.com Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. We hope there’s still a chance to provide your with a great experience during this visit or in the future. Kind regards, Jhon Operations.

Superlative Tour and Guide
Jon was extremely knowledgeable and effortlessly switched topics when we asked off-topic questions. He could not be stumped on Miami geography, neighborhoods, history, waves of Cuban immigrations, the Art scene (not just Wynwood), environmental issues, or marine animals in Biscayne Bay. Wow. He is a delightful guide and host and very considerate of 3 seniors who aren't that mobile. We felt like we had a comprehensive tour of Miami, and would highly recommend this superlative tour. Worth every penny--without a doubt. Book it!

Worth every penny.
In early March 2023, we took our first trip to Miami. We wanted to see as much as possible in a less than half a day and with a guide. This was the way to do it to visit areas and neighborhoods, to get our bearings, We wanted to understand the settlement and culture of Miami as well. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. And interested in helping us understand how Miami functions with the residents as its center. A wow of an afternoon. And he would willingly venture into expanding our questions, Looking forward next winter to a trip to the Everglades with Tons of Fun. Thanks.

A fantastic day discovering Miami!
John was an incredible tour guide through the many “layers” of Miami. He graciously incorporated a few of our personal requests to revisit old memories as well as introduced us to the vibrant and beautiful Miami. His knowledge is incredible as he shares about the geological foundation, the plant life, the art scene, the old and new architecture, the iconic streets and stories of old Miami to a trip out to Key Biscayne national park. We will DEFINITELY be booking John on our return trips to Miami.

Great Tour!!
This was a really great tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable. My husband is a history buff, and he especially enjoyed the information about the history of Miami. I enjoy photography, and I was able to take lots of great photos from the windows and moon roof of the Jeep, and during our stops. I highly recommend this tour.

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Miami: History through Architecture Private Tour with Transport: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Miami.
How much does Miami: History through Architecture Private Tour with Transport cost?
+
Prices start at $293 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Miami usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Miami: History through Architecture Private Tour with Transport take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Miami is not rushed.
Is Miami: History through Architecture Private Tour with Transport worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Miami, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Miami: History through Architecture Private Tour with Transport?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Miami: History through Architecture Private Tour with Transport suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Miami: History through Architecture Private Tour with Transport?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Miami can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Miami and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Miami: History through Architecture Private Tour with Transport start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Miami within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Miami?
+
Miami splits between the water and the neighbourhoods. Biscayne Bay boat tours, Key Biscayne snorkelling and Everglades airboats cover the first, while Wynwood mural walks, Little Havana food crawls and South Beach deco tours cover the second. We rank Everglades operators carefully: many depart from Miami but the good ones run their own boats rather than reselling seats. On Outty we rank every Miami experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2 hrs Miami Private Boat with Cooler, Ice, Bluetooth Stereo, Little Havana Food and Walking Tour in Miami, Miami: 2 Hour Private Yacht Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Miami?
+
November to April, dry season, before hurricane and humidity months. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Miami?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
