Beware - Getaway Segways
The tour was fine until my Segway decided to have a mind of its own and sped up in a way that I had no control. The guide offered to switch Segway's with me which led me to believe they weren’t well maintained. I’ve done Segway tours in the past without any incident or safety issues.
Response from the operator: We appreciate you taking the time to write a review, but your assumption about our Segways being poorly maintained is simply not correct. Our fleet is serviced exclusively by Segway of Central Florida, the official Segway service center, and last year alone we invested over $27,000 in professional maintenance. Every Segway we operate meets the manufacturer’s highest safety and performance standards. Segways do not have a “mind of their own.” In 13 years of running tours, with thousands of riders, we have never had a Segway behave in the way you described. What you experienced is a standard safety feature — when a rider reaches the maximum speed of 12.5 mph, the machine tilts back slightly to signal that you should slow down. This is normal, intentional, and part of the factory design. We stand behind the quality and safety of our equipment 100%. You are welcome to come back, ride the exact same Segway again, and you will see it works perfectly. We are Miami Beach’s #1 Segway tour company with an impeccable safety record, and we do not accept unfounded claims that could mislead future guests. Miguel Zaldívar Ownwer 🇺🇸MAGA🇺🇸

Unprofessional
We would have loved to gone on our tour, but our plane was delayed due to rain which delay with the Uber. I actually called the Segway company to see if we could delay our ride 30 minutes and I was told NO then the gentleman hung the phone up on me, I find this unprofessional and rude. This company did not want to seem to work with me in anyway.

Highly recommend the Segway tours!
Our family group of 5 had a wonderful Segway tour with Joseph. He made it so much fun and so interesting. We went out to Star Island and finished up along Ocean Drive. Sorry I didn’t catch the name of the other guy who gave us instruction and the safety briefing. He was really great. We all felt comfortable using the Segways. We would highly recommend this company and would definitely use them for other tours,
Response from the operator: Thanks for the awesome review! Family of 5 on Segways That's what I live for Joseph always turns those tours into pure joy fun facts about Star Island's mansions, that final Ocean Drive glide, all while making sure everyone's comfy and laughing. And hey, the safety guy probably my brother or one of the crew is thrilled you felt at ease he drills in the basics so no one hesitates. Sorry names slip we're just happy the whole group rolled out smiling. 😊Come back whenever we're right by the Beachwalk another Art Deco Segway Tour, Miami Beach Bike Rental for a relaxed family cruise, tandem bikes, side-by-side electric rides, rollerblades, skates... or even a full Electric Bike Tour to see more without the sweat. We'll keep it just as great. Highly recommend you too see you soon! 🚲

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Miami Beach Art Deco Segway Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Miami.
How much does Miami Beach Art Deco Segway Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Miami usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Miami Beach Art Deco Segway Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Miami is not rushed.
Is Miami Beach Art Deco Segway Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Miami, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Miami Beach Art Deco Segway Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Miami Beach Art Deco Segway Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Miami Beach Art Deco Segway Tour?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Miami can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Miami and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Miami Beach Art Deco Segway Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Miami within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Miami?
+
Miami splits between the water and the neighbourhoods. Biscayne Bay boat tours, Key Biscayne snorkelling and Everglades airboats cover the first, while Wynwood mural walks, Little Havana food crawls and South Beach deco tours cover the second. We rank Everglades operators carefully: many depart from Miami but the good ones run their own boats rather than reselling seats. On Outty we rank every Miami experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2 hrs Miami Private Boat with Cooler, Ice, Bluetooth Stereo, Little Havana Food and Walking Tour in Miami, Miami: 2 Hour Private Yacht Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Miami?
+
November to April, dry season, before hurricane and humidity months. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Miami?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
