Private Mexico City Mural Art Tour
Neene was professional and an exceptional guide for the Mural Art Tour in Mexico City. Her enthusiasm for her subject matter was contagious as she demonstrated an in depth knowledge of muralism. Her English communication skills were terrific which made it easy to grasp the art and its history as she talked about it. Neene was a pleasure to spend time with and we look forward to additional tours with her when we next return to Mexico City.

Best way to learn about the murals in CDMX
Armando did a fantastic job of explaining the thinking and artistry behind the murals in the Palace of Fine Arts and in other locations. This was one of my favorite tours because it put so much context and meaning behind the artwork. Armando brought the murals to life by telling stories about the issues of the times and the intent of the artist. Highly recommended!

Our Mural Art Tour with Neene: A Five-Star experience!
Our guide Neene provided an amazing experience for us during our private mural art tour in Mexico City. She arrived promptly and introduced us to the Muralist movement, as well as a sampling of muralists working at the time. We spent time talking about each mural at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Museuo Mural Diego Rivera and the House of Tiles. Neene answered our questions and deftly wove history and culture together. Truly a five-star experience and we would gladly take part in another tour with Neene!

Not worth the $
Our guide was very sweet & knowledgeable. My rating isn’t about her at all. It’s about the tour & what you get for the amount you pay. It’s not worth it. Go on your own. & honestly, it will be quicker. Two places only have 1 mural each & are free to get into (one being a restaurant). The third place is free to enter on Sundays, which is when we happened to go (or maybe it’s always free?). All within a block of each other. Any hotel you are staying at can give you these 3 places. I thought it was going to be more…
Response from the operator: Dear Jennifer, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the tour. We're genuinely sorry to hear that it did not meet your expectations in terms of value. It's great to hear that you found our guide Neene sweet and knowledgeable; we truly believe that having an expert like her can transform any visit into a more enriching experience. We understand your concerns regarding the tour's content and pricing. Our aim is to curate tours that not only show the sights but also provide deeper insights and stories that aren't immediately obvious. That being said, we take your feedback seriously and will look into how we can enhance the tour to make it more worthwhile for our guests. We hope to have the opportunity to show you the enhanced value of our tours in the future. Warm regards, Anastasiya

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mexico City Private Muralism Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Mexico City Private Muralism Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mexico City Private Muralism Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Mexico City Private Muralism Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mexico City Private Muralism Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Mexico City Private Muralism Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Mexico City Private Muralism Tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mexico City Private Muralism Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
