Beautiful and unique part of Greece

Meteora was our favorite place we visited during a two week vacation in Greece; highly recommend this tour, then, especially if you do not have a car. The tour guides were also wonderful. Be sure to read carefully everything shared with you. The Delphi day is—essentially—self guided with a driver getting you to the site (you get access to a downloadable audio tour). You will also go “in and out” of other tours so do not be concerned if you feel like an outlier (eg, we were the only ones with luggage on the first bus). The only thing I would have changed was the location of our hotel. We opted for the more expensive one which was not near town/food. Food—in general—was later than expected on day one due to both this detail and the sunset tour going from 4-9.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We’re so happy to hear that you and your son had a great time together on the off-road buggy adventure. Meteora is a fantastic place to share a little adventure as a family, and we hope you both left with some great memories!

    Great deal

Excellent service provided. We did the two tours (sunset and half day) and were very happy with Chris and Henry, especially. The company is always reachable and they went with my change of plans without a problem. Highly recommended

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review and recommendation! We’re delighted you enjoyed both the sunset and half-day tours, and that Chris and Henry made your experience especially memorable. We’re also happy our team could assist smoothly with your change of plans. We hope to welcome you back again!

    Pretty pretty pretty good.

I was afraid to do it since ive never had done a 'tour' before. But it was an amazing experience. I did it solo but it was nice meeting random people from different countries. The 2nd day hike was my favorite as it was only the guide, another solo girl and me. we did encounter anyone during the whole hike which made it more peacfule hah and the guide was so good as he was friendly and very knowledgable, i think his name was Christos. In general it was great, all the staff were nice, and our guide on the first day, Jim, was amazing, friendly, and funny. The hotel was the 'premium' one which i did not really understand why it's 'premium' but i believe because it was in the Kalabaka not in the city center. Kalabaka is a very pretty and small village so i was glad i got this hotel.

Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are very happy to hear that your first tour experience turned into such an enjoyable and memorable trip, especially as a solo traveler. It is great to know that you enjoyed meeting people from different countries and that the second-day hike felt peaceful and special. We are especially glad that Christos made the hike so enjoyable with his knowledge and friendly approach, and that Jim also helped make the first day fun and memorable. We truly appreciate your kind words for our team and are glad you enjoyed your stay in beautiful Kalabaka. Warm regards, The Visit Meteora Team

    Wonderful hiking tour and guides!!

I had the best time in Meteora and Delphi thanks to the great organisation of logistics and fantastic guides by Visit Meteora. Maria was my guide for the sunset tour and even though the weather had other plans for us, I could go on listening to Maria's sharing about Meteora and the monasteries sprinkled with stories from her childhood! I love her storytelling! On the second day, we went on a hiking tour led by Christos. Perfectly paced, scenic views, and an experienced guide who definitely knew the flora and fauna of Meteora like the back of his hand. Couldn't have asked for a better hiking experience - I highly recommend this option. Day 3 was rather light, with a drop-off a Delphi and free and easy time to explore the town and archaeological museum on our own before meeting back for KTEL bus to Athens. For a tour with mostly AM/half-day activities, I do think it slightly misses the mark in terms of value / for the price paid but I suppose other tours are rather similarly priced. Wish there was a guide for Delphi as well, but I don't regret having booked this either way! Cheers!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your 3-day journey through Meteora and Delphi. Maria and Christos will be especially happy to know their passion, knowledge, and personal storytelling helped make your experience memorable. Meteora’s landscapes, history, flora, and traditions truly come alive through local guides who love sharing them with visitors. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the overall value and the independent visit in Delphi. Your comments are very helpful as we continuously evaluate ways to improve our itineraries and enhance the experience for future travelers. Thank you again for choosing Visit Meteora. We hope to welcome you back someday for more adventures in Greece! Warm regards, The Visit Meteora Team

Meteora & Delphi 3 Days Semi Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Meteora & Delphi 3 Days Semi Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Meteora & Delphi 3 Days Semi Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Meteora & Delphi 3 Days Semi Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 90 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Meteora & Delphi 3 Days Semi Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Meteora & Delphi 3 Days Semi Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Meteora & Delphi 3 Days Semi Private Tour?

    +

Around 31 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Meteora & Delphi 3 Days Semi Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
