Do NOT book the 4x4 excursions with this company

The quad experiences are probably fine but DO NOT do the 4x4 excursions with this company. We specifically asked to avoid the typical parts of the tour that'd involve souvenir shopping/tipping (i.e nomadic village visits). But we forgot to take into account that even the volcano area would, of course, involve friends of the driver selling us overpriced souvenirs. My girlfriend felt pressured to pay €20 for an "original" fossil (clearly a scam), because at the end of the day, you're in the middle of absolute nowhere, at least 3 hours walk away from your accomodation, so you don't wanna piss off your driver. We KNEW we were getting scammed, but it's even riskier to put the person driving you through nowhere in a bad mood, you know? In Morocco, everyone seems to think all foreigners are rich (I wish), and moods can change very fast when you don't give money where expected. We thought we'd get around this by skipping the obvious tourist baits, but little did we know this €70 private tour would still come with the same tourist traps of a group tour half the price. Can't comment on the quad experiences, but they probably don't involve any forced souvenir stops, at least. Stay away from the 4x4 tours!

Amazing experience

We did a 3 day trip from Marrakech to Merzouga. The first day we did the atlas mountains, Ait Ben Haddou and the Atlas studios. We all really enjoyed this day and spent a lot longer than we intended to at the Atlas studios as it was so much fun. We stayed the first night in a Riad in the Dades valley. The host's were very friendly and the evening meal and breakfast was exceptional they kept bringing more and more food. It was nice to try lots of different traditional foods. The second day we travelled to the desert. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had, I would thoroughly recommend it. On the 3rd day it was spent traveling home however our driver Mustapha surprised us with a Berber picnic. Mustapha was a pleasure to spend our trip with and he made sure that the trip was just as we wanted, we could tell him to stop whenever we wanted. Thank you for making this an amazing experience :)

A family experience to remember!

We travelled as a family (2 boys aged 15 and 9) and highly recommend this experience! The camel ride to the overnight camp is amazing and the guide takes photos along the way for you. The tents are comfortable and clean, the food delicious and plentiful and a fun night around the campfire was had by all. Our boys were the only children in the group and they were made to feel very welcome with the hosts giving them loads of attention. The hosts were fantastic.

Our experience to Merzouga dunes was unforgettable

If you are planning to visit Morocco like we were, Just contact the manager of this company and he will plan a wonderful trip for you. Our journey with them was incredible and we would like to thank them again for this wonderful experience. we started our experience with driver (guide)Ali .! Our night in Luxury tent was clean, and the food was good. Generally a nice range of activities and didn’t feel rushed. We did Camel riding in the Sahara desert to luxury camp. Ali, our guide and driver, were very professional and helpful. Tents (we booked the luxury option) were lovely - hot water, electricity, cozy enough bed and loads of space. We traveled in winter and were still just about warm enough in the morning. we enjoyed an amazing breakfast with the view of the Sahara . Everything was as we had planned, the manager, Mohamed, and I, and everything was wonderful. Book this trip, it’s worth it.

Merzouga Quad Bikes Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Merzouga.

How much does Merzouga Quad Bikes Experience cost?

+

Prices start at $33 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Merzouga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Merzouga Quad Bikes Experience take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Merzouga is not rushed.

Is Merzouga Quad Bikes Experience worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 67 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Merzouga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Merzouga Quad Bikes Experience?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Merzouga Quad Bikes Experience suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Merzouga Quad Bikes Experience?

+

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Merzouga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Merzouga and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Merzouga Quad Bikes Experience start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Merzouga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Merzouga?

+

On Outty we rank every Merzouga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Camel Trekking & 1 Night in Merzouga Desert Camp, From Merzouga: 2-Nights In Luxury Camp with Camel Trek & Dinner., Overnight in Merzouga with unforgettable Sunset & Camel/Quad ride. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Merzouga?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Merzouga?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
