Left us stranded…
After reading the many positive reviews, we chartered Travel2Egypt for 2 days in Cairo and then 2 days in Luxor. For Cairo, the guide and car showed up promptly and showed us around well. The car wasn’t in the best shape and the driver kept us waiting a long time at atleast 2 of the sites for pickup. Towards the end of the trip, the guide took us to a “government-sanctioned”, “authentic” gallery, which turned out to be an over-priced, privately owned tourist trap. The real kicker was that, since day 1, they demanded cash upfront for all 4 days. We were obviously uncomfortable handing it out and agreed to do so daily, during the tour itself. At the end of day 2, when we paid and were dropped off at the hotel, all of a sudden, I received a message stating that we were on our own in Luxor and that they wouldn’t be sending a car. Needless to say, this left us scrambling and stressed, a day before flying to Luxor. Fortunately, we were able to get an even better service in Luxor with better cars and guides. I would be vary of this operator…know that they are better operations with newer cars and perhaps, better guides around…

We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, but it is important to emphasise the following: Payment Terms: Our standard policy, as with all professional travel companies, requires a deposit or pre-payment for multi-city tours. In your case, we made a rare exception and confirmed services without a deposit. Unfortunately, your refusal to proceed with the agreed payment method meant that we could not extend services in Luxor. You were informed of this transparently in advance. Guide and Vehicle: In Cairo, you were guided by a qualified Egyptologist and provided with a private vehicle. While we regret that you felt the car was not to your liking, your tours proceeded as planned. The Store Visit: The stop you mentioned was not intended as a “tourist trap,” but rather as a location with card facilities to help facilitate payment. At no point were you obliged to make purchases. After 30 years of providing high-quality tours in Egypt, we take pride in our professionalism and transparency. We also respect that mutual trust and cooperation are essential for a successful travel experience. While we regret that we could not continue your services beyond Cairo, we are glad you were able to enjoy the rest of your journey with another provider. Unbelievable experience !!!! :)
I was in on a business trip to Cairo with my work colleagues for 1 week.. Honestly, I was very worried to travel to Egypt because of the many reports I read on Covid-19 spread in Egypt and how carelessly the government is handling it. It took me almost 2 days to decide if I would join my other co-workers in this trip or not but finally I made up my min to go. Seeing Saqqara Pyramid was one of my childhood dreams and I did not want to miss it. Unbelievable experience !!!! :) To stand in the front of the oldest man-made stone tomb was overwhelming. The place is a little bit far from Giza necropolis and we were almost in the middle of fascinating sandy desert surrounded by a punch of pyramids everywhere.. What have even tripled our enjoyment is the very.. very knowledgeable tour guide {Bassem} who transferred us to 3600 BC with his amazing guiding and his second to none sense of humor. The clever driver {Imad} who used to sanitize the car on every stop also was polite and descent. But the lunch we had in the local restaurant nearby Memphis was one of the most delicious meals I had while traveling {I am an experiences frequent traveler by the way }.. Honestly, the guys at Travel2Egypt made our day a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks for all of you..
