Beautiful experience at the 3-Day-Tour from Melbourne to Adelaide

Just finished my 3-day-tour in Adelaide and it was a great experience. Our tour guide "J-dog" alias Janet was the best. Always in good spirit, singing, she was very knowledgeable about everything, was super friendly and a great pal. The Tour was great, beautiful sceneries along The Great Ocean Road, many animals in the National Parks, we saw koalas, kakadoos, kookaburras, kangagooes etc.and the bushwalks were nice too. The accomodations were great, only 3 people in a room, the food was amazing. I also met some nice people, even from Switzerland. I can only recommend this tour, I loved it.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing this review! It sounds like you had an absolutely fantastic time on your 3-day tour in Adelaide! "J-dog" (Janet) is one of our exceptional guides, bringing energy and knowledge to the experience. The Great Ocean Road is stunning, and seeing all the amazing Australian wildlife must have been a highlight! It's also great to hear that the accommodations were comfortable and that you enjoyed the food. Meeting new people, especially from places like Switzerland, adds an extra layer of enjoyment to any trip. Thank you for sharing your positive experience, and it's wonderful to know you would recommend the tour to others. We hope your future travels are just as memorable!Cheers.

The fantastic 3 day Melbourne to Adelaide Great Ocean Road and Grampian tour

A fantastic experience! This was an absolutely wonderful tour made so by our guide/driver Craig. He was so incredibly knowledgeable not just on the animals, birds, plant-life and culture of the people of the area, new and old. Not only did we see the promised sights, but with efficiency and getting up a bit earlier, he took to us to many other wonderful sights as well, that improved the already great experience. Being extremely well travelled and having led tours in many parts of Australia, he was able to to give us wide perspective on how what we were seeing could be both unique and similar to other places in the world. He had an incredible sense of humour which put a smile on many of our faces. It was wonderful seeing the natural beauty of this part of the world. Our only reservation in not giving the tour 5 stars was because despite the fact that our tour was only half of the maximum number of people that the bus could take, the seats were cramped, without much leg room and there were no bins overhead to put small carry on bags into.

Response from the operator: G'Day! Wow! Thanks so much for taking the time to write out this wonderful feedback. It's lovely to hear Craig is having such an impact on our guests, and creating memorable tours! He has such a wealth of knowledge, so it's great you were able to hear many of his tales! We are also so thankful for the candid feedback in regards to the bus sizes, we appreciate feedback like this in order to improve our tours in future. We would love to see you onboard another tour in future Kind Regards, Wildlife Tours

They go extra mile to show you Great Ocean Road

They say don't visit Great Ocean Road in one day and they were right. 3 Day Great Ocean Road to Grampians was amazing exploration of natural beauty of Australia South coast with knowledgeable, professional and supper fun guide (Jordan for us). Small group promoted easy interaction with people from different countries. It is what we were presented past 12 Apostles was the most interesting: London Bridge, Island Bay, Martyr's Bay. Grampians Park offered us viewing of wildlife in natural habitat: Kangaroos, wallabies, koalas ( that we learned are not bears). We recommend the tour and this company as the experience was seamless from the time of booking to the finish. Thank you Jordan, James and somewhat Mr. Burns.

Response from the operator: Hi There, Thank you for leaving such an amazing review on our 3 Day Melbourne to Adelaide Tour! We're so thrilled to hear you had such an incredible time with Jordan and enjoyed the itinerary! Shania :)

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Melbourne.

How much does Melbourne to Adelaide 3 Day Tour via Great Ocean Road & Grampians cost?

    +

Prices start at $602 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Melbourne usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Melbourne to Adelaide 3 Day Tour via Great Ocean Road & Grampians take?

    +

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Melbourne is not rushed.

Is Melbourne to Adelaide 3 Day Tour via Great Ocean Road & Grampians worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Melbourne, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Melbourne to Adelaide 3 Day Tour via Great Ocean Road & Grampians?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Melbourne to Adelaide 3 Day Tour via Great Ocean Road & Grampians suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Melbourne to Adelaide 3 Day Tour via Great Ocean Road & Grampians?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Melbourne can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Melbourne and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Melbourne?

    +

On Outty we rank every Melbourne experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Melbourne: Yarra Valley Wine, Gin, Whisky and Chocolate Tour, Yarra Valley Wine Tour w Exclusive Gin, Cider & Chocolate Tasting, Yarra Valley Wine Tour from Melbourne - Choc, Gin & Good Times. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Melbourne?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Melbourne?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
